Curtesy Post:
Hi 🐾 I’m Diamond and I’m looking for a home.
I’m a little over one year old and according to the humans I am a Yorkshire Mix. I love to run and play and I am really a good dog.
Do you want to play with me and give me a home where I never have to move again? Regular cuddles and treats would be great too but not a deal breaker.

Baby Heart Worms found in the blood of a dog.
Heart worms can cause illness and death, and the treatment can end up costing quite a penny. The best medicine is to prevent your dog from getting it in the first place. Just a pill a month can do the trick.
You still have time to take advantage of the February special on heart worm tablets.
Contact us for more details or visit us at the clinic.

SIZE DOES MATTER!
At least it does when talking about kibbles.
Small kibbles are best for small breed dogs as these smaller breeds can choke on larger kibbles. Small kibbles are also easier for them to eat.
Small bites are also better for senior dogs (no matter the size of the dog) because often senior dogs can have digestive issues or dental problem. The smaller kibbles are easier for them to manage.
Check out our pet food selection and ask the vet which one is best for your dog.

Bandage Change with Dr. Sade Swanston
In this week's behind the scenes video, Dr. sade Swanston changes the bandage on a puppy who was hit by a car.
It's a simple procedure that needs to be repeated twice a week in this case to make sure the wound heals properly and that no infection occurs.
The wound is cleaned with antibacterial scrub and a rinse before an ointment containing epson salt is applied. The ointment helps draw out any fluids and bacteria that might still be in the wound. The wound is than redressed with a few layers of bandage.
It is important that the bandage stays dry and pet owners should keep an eye on it. If blood and fluids seep through the top layer of the bandage, it is an indication that the bandage needs to change.
A big Thank You to Mrs. Cathy Deher and her pup for allowing us record the procedure.
