🐾 Meet Cakey: A Sweet Dog in Need of a Loving Home 🐾

Today, during her rounds, one of our dedicated volunteers discovered Cakey, an incredibly sweet dog who was in dire condition. Sadly, it seems that Cakey was abandoned after a terrible accident, likely being hit by a car. He was found with severe injuries, terrible ticks, wounds, and a very high fever. In his weakened state, he couldn’t even move properly.

At first, Cakey was so scared and in pain that he tried to bite the volunteer who found him. But when Stefy arrived to help, Cakey showed his true gentle nature, despite the pain he was in. He’s now receiving care at the Animal Care Center, where he is being evaluated and treated.

Once he’s stable, Cakey will be fostered by Stefy’s Pet Sitting., until he finds a forever home.

Please help us find a home for Chuchina. We’ve been fostering her since January after she appeared around Indigo Bay area - most probably abandoned… she is a dog that needs a bit of time to trust people but once she does, she gives lots of love and gratitude back to those who care for her. Very active, strong dog, good with the leash, unless she spots an iguana 😅 she can easily jump fences so the place needs to be well protected. Not good with small dogs (chihuahua etc) so avoid contact with them, but ok with bigger dogs. We need to find her a home very soon as we won’t be able to continue looking after her unfortunately 😔 and she deserves a loving and safe environment. She is sterilized, fully vaccinated etc. Age is approximately 2 years according to the vet. If you know anyone who might have the heart and space to take her, please contact SXM paws. Thank you 🙏🏻

Rescue and Transformation of Hope and Faith: A Tale of Compassion and Recovery Hope and Faith, two adorable dogs, were found in dire straits in Anse Marcel after a heartfelt Facebook post highlighted their plight. Severely matted and in poor condition, their situation was desperate, especially with the state of their coats. Thankfully, compassionate individuals quickly intervened. Anyone remember the 2 very matted white doggies we rescues in ande marcel area? Here they are living their best life 🥰… they are still in quarantine until next week and are super happy to have removed all that hair from their skin!!! Still their skin needs to heal quite a but and they just finished their medication today !!! They are sweet loving and happy to cuddle! Tick fever and heart worm free fully vaccinates and will be spayed soon 😻…. Available for adoption through @sxm_paws as soon as they are spayed and fully recovered in their skin We are looking for them to be adopted together

UPDATE 1 they are dtill at the vet they are heartworm and tick fecer negative one of them has n infection and they are both very very skinny they need to spend tge night in the vet and ill pick them up tomorrow We rescues these 2 cuties today thanks to a post on animaux perdu on facebook from a kind lady that reported them, these cuties are the worst matting we have seen, even the vet was in shock, we had to leave them overnight at the vet for them to get a full check up and also they will need to be sedated to groom them due to the pain they will undergo during grooming and it will be done at the same time as they are down for spay/neuter surgery. We are fully fostering one of them and the other one @sxm_paws will take care of 50% of the boarding fee and the other half we will discount it. Paws will also cover their vet bills and treatment so any donation you will like to give towards them please do it directo to sxm paws We haven’t name them yet as we dont know if they are male or female die to the terrible condition of their fur Today their new life starts and soon they’ll be ready to go to their new forever home They are at animal care center until tomorrow 🙏🏽

Hello world 🌎 my name is cakey 🍰 because i was found on the old cake house road i am between 5 and 8 years old, as you can see my life has been very hard i was found matted and in very bad shape after the hair was removed the vets found out i have a massive vaginal tumor that completely destroyed my vagina i am a very sweet loving and overall healthy girl ( beside my problem with the tumor i have tick fever ) because of the high coat of my treatment i was going to be euthanized however when they saw how healthy and happy i am they could not do it now we are looking for help raising funds to help me pay my vet bill which will be around $1000.00. This includes the operation, few days of boarding and treatment for tick fever and also post op care🥲…. I have a temporary foster for my recovery time and then will look for a forever home !!! Animals have been my passion for many years now, I have actively volunteered with different rescue teams for many years, I own a import and export company where I sale wholesale to the stores in the island, and I am also a goldsmith, used to make jewelry from butterfly wings that were collected after the butterflies died at the butterfly farm in St. Maarten and used to sell them in the Marigot market, so all my businesses were directly aimed for tourists, as many of you know in 2017 a hurricane(Irma) hit the island where I live for the past 12 years and that changed everything for everyone here, I lost all my inventory for the wholesale business and also lost all my machines to make jewelry and along with this the farm was completely wiped out by this hurricane and they did not open back so I did not have the butterfly wings anymore. When all this happened I was out of a job for a long time, my friends always knew my love and passion for animals and all the work I do for rescuing and help animals in extreme conditions, so they started contacting me to take care of their furry babies while they were on vacation or if they had long work days and that is how Stefys pet sitting started, I love all animals and specially doggies (I have 5 rescues of my own). Now I am a full time pet sitter and offer a facility in my own home where your furry babies can share with other doggies, fully 24/7 air conditioned room where they can come in and out as they want and also a always open patio area for the times they prefer to be outdoors, also always monitored by cameras, for boarding and day care services we offer pick up and drop off (in areas like, cupecoy, jordan village, maho, beacon hill, cole bay, bellevue, marigot, agreement, simpson bay, belair, cay hill and bush road, other areas might have a fuel surcharge) we know traffic is hard and we think of your comfort so you don't have to rush or go out of your way to drop off or pick up your furry baby from day care or if you are going or coming from vacation or for a work trip you don't need to go out of your way but your furry baby will be taken to you. also offer home visits and dog walks.
