Friendly or not, it doesn’t matter! . Controls the situation, you don’t know if the other dog have issues with your dog, or have a bad day, or are injured or or or … . It is also NOT SOCIALIZATION if your dog is running to other and go “friendly over exciting crazy” . Socialization means - being neutral next to others, being friends, or ignoring! . Imagine - many one would run towards you, jump on you, sniff your ass, talk to you about their problems that you don’t care and touch you all the time! You probably would not like it! . Athena didn’t liked it as well and because of so many dogs where running into her in her young age, she become more and more unfriendly and pissed about many dogs! . Be grown, be Kind, show understanding! Take your dog on a leash if you meet others. It isn’t bad, it is responsible! . Working on socialization means to go through many steps, over longer period, in different environments with different breeds and sizes! . Only if your dog isn’t reactive to one breed and color of a dog doesn’t means he is good with every one! . Use your dogs attention, keep them busy, reward the good behavior, watch their body language, keep the distance and work with different speed . Create a scenario that you can control and that is close as possible to real life! .
