Everyone meet Rufus 😃

This little man is approx 8 months old and is an Agile wallaby.

Did you know?

Agile wallabies, or sandy wallabies, are the most common wallaby in northern Australia. They live in smaller groups of 1-10 known as mobs in the dry woodlands, coastal areas, dunes, and grasslands, of northern Australia and New Guinea. Their location changes with the seasons in relation to food availability.

Maddie is a Pretty-faced wallaby.
Pretty-faces have a life span of 10 yrs - grow in height between 65 and 93 cm - and weigh between 7 to 26 kg 🌻

Please take the time to read this post it displays the selflessness of one little human and how small acts of kindness can turn into life saving acts ❤️

Every year Bella chooses to ask her friends to bring sweet potato, rolled oats, tissues & baby wipes to her party to help out this wonderful wildlife carer organisation that has shown her such kindness & a place to chill & connect with nature & such wonderful people.
She gives out IGA tags, keeps her cans to drop to Sue & encourages others to allocate to the Marlu team number if passing by the can collection place.
She loves to swing past & pat & feed the beauties in care at the time with her collected donations. I feel this is such an important component to a child’s overall education - to really understand the financial commitment & time it takes for volunteers to keep such love & compassion alive, often amid great challenges.
As the first educators of our children, aiming to raise awareness about important causes is an vital step in creating the kind of future we want for them.

This cheeky lil man is Loco 💙
Loco’s mum was hit by a train but was lucky enough to be rescued by some of the rail workers when they noticed he’d been thrown from mums pouch.
To think when he came into care a few months ago he wouldn’t even let his head come out of the bag 😢
It’s a amazing what love, cuddles and copious amounts of milk (he drinks twice as much as the others) will do 😃💙💙💙

A beautiful story of how one of the babies came into care ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing and more importantly, thank you for caring for our wildlife 🥰

This is little Dillon,
I sadly found him next to his deceased mother that had died the night before.
I picked him up and gave him love and warmth.
I named him Dillon as he was found on Dillon road, captain creek.
He greeted me with his arm up to be picked up! (how adorable)
Dillon is such a gorgeous boy, not to fond of other joey's though and we believe he will become the leader of the mop.
He seems to be super calm when I come for a visit and a feed. Sue said he will always know who I am and that I saved him 💜

forever grateful to be apart of this amazing team to love and care for kangaroos and other wonderful wildlife
