Just a little bit of a sad 🥹 day for us, as one of our favourite Raffi daughters, Gr Ch Damewood Frida Forever, has headed off to her home with Emily and Gaby. She will be living the high life in Paddington and we know the girls will love and spoil her crazy! We will miss our dancing entertaining sweet girl. Love you Fri Fri xx 😻

🩵🎯 Cool Country Cat Club hosted a terrific show in Canberra yesterday. We took two of our up and coming future Queens, Damewood Little Bird Told Me, Black Ticked Tabby Bicolour Scottish Shorthair and Rolls Royce van Het Eigen, Chocolate British Shorthair (Imp NL). Both girls behaved beautifully on the show bench ~even after the 5am start with a 2.5hr drive down~ Little Bird with her fancy ticked tabby coat, placed 2nd, 4th and 5th Top 5’s in Group 3 Entires and her first ACF Award. Roycie also acquired the extra Challenge points needed for her Champion Title so we are pleased to have shown her twice before she is off to become a mummy! Great to see some of our Damewood family and to catch up with our show friends! Congratulations to all 🎯🩵

To our friends, there is some news to share. We are stunned, shattered and quite frankly, very confused.

This week we discovered that the family, who we approved in January this year, to take our darling girl Edith aka Damewood I’m Riding Shotgun was handed (unbeknownst to us) to a rescue group in the outskirts of Melbourne, a mere FIVE weeks after her arrival.

The family have remained completely unresponsive to our messages of concern - in fact they stopped
contact about a week prior to us hearing this bizarre news, so we have no idea as to the full situation.

We immediately reached out to this rescue group, via all the usual methods and they too, have shirked their responsibilities, which goes against their claims to be a professional and caring group and and they have chosen to ignore us entirely 😭😭 stating they have “legally” been handed the cat.

It has become clear their actions as a rescue group are highly questionable (Ediths photo being used in a raffle promotion?) amongst other reasons they actually have no formal address and no contact numbers.

In light of this weeks situation, they have since issued an official statement which again highlights how very little trust they place in breeders generally.

Quite a number of my fellow breeders stepped up and defended us
and sought action for Edith, and were subsequently blocked and banned from their pages.

Smells 🐠🐠🐠 doesn’t it?

We sincerely hope that wherever Edith is tonight, she is being fed her favourite food and has a super comfy bed to sleep on.

A message for her new family - we hope in the near future, we will make contact as we are here waiting to greet you, and tell you all about Edie, and share the mountain of photos and videos we have of her, especially with you.

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for our girl and her future 🖤🧡🤍
