Last day of the year. What do you do to avoid fireworks go to a trial. Thanks to gawler for organising and running the trial. The judges, stewards and helpers. Especially Eleanor and Noeline.
Darcy had her first trial but she is going to have her own page. Well Mysty needs to do some work before hand as she thought we were still on holidays, well so did I lol. First was rally masters. Mmmm bit wild cost myself a 10 point by doing something stupid. Hate recalls lol so we failed that one oops. Next attempt not much better gave myself another 10 points can't stop on the send the dog around me. Found looking at signs was so hard in the dark. Cost myself a few point. We got a fourth place with 86 points. We both finally got our act together in excellent and got 97 and first place

Well NYE trial was the first trial for Montegodarcy. Done Tricks for the first time passed got second place with 56.5 out of 60. We had quite a bit of problems with people giving commands and distractions. She was worried but by the end the tail was up

Well it's a hot day today in fact 37 degrees. Too hot for the girls to be outside running around. So we did some training. Darcy still needs lots of training. Lots of small training. I don't do every day but when I do it's different things. Some days we focus on heel work, another day it'll be retrieves etc or it could be tricks.
Today we did a little bit of quoits. Darcy is getting the hang of it and beep beep which is walking back into my legs. This is a higher trick exercise. Three step backwards definitely a work in progress when we first started she was so crooked I was tripping over her. Mysty didn't miss out she did quoits and beep beep as well

Last post we do have a new addition MontegoDarcy. Little chocolate coolie girl. Her aunty is Mystique. Little Darcy has big shoes to fill in. We are hoping to enter trick trial NYE..

This year Mysty had a great year with numerous passes in Rally, Obedience, Agility, Scentwork and Tricks.
State Obedience Championship we won Rally Excellent and Rally Masters and a pass in UDX towards our Obedience Grand Champion only 3 more to go
Royal Show we won UD NQ and RM in the Obedience and Agility 1st place Open Jumping

Well last night we had our obedience AGM.
Went out to the Albion for tea with friends
Mysty won some awards. I am super proud of Mysty and what she has achieved.
Mysty won
DogsSa UDX Dog of the Year with three first places
DogsSa Top Obedience of the Year with all first places
DogsSa Top Rally of the Year with all first places
This is Mysty"s 2nd year in a row winning both Top Obedience and Rally awards.

Today was the German Shepherd Obedience trial. Cold and windy and only 28 entries so a very small trial.
Mysty was in UDX and yet again sat outside the cones.
Open she won on 197, the only dog to pass.
Bolt was once again in CD and passed not a brilliant score but kids kicking balls, helicopter going around, smells everywhere but he got through with 178 and first place being the only dog to pass.

Today was Munno Para obedience and rally trial. Thanks to judges, stewards and helpers for today. Thanks to Helen for her hard work today and organising the interstate judge, the lovely Dawn Ayton. She's lovely.
Had Bolt in cd and by golly got another pass 193 first place. Mysty won cdx 195 but the best news was Mysty gaining her third pass in udx and going her title. People who have done udx know how hard it is too pass. Now onto Grand Obedience Champion 5 more passes with 185 or above.
We also done rally mysty got 100 first place advance 99 second in excellent oh and 87 with my silly errors costing us 13 points.
Not to be outdone Bolt passed advance 92 points and 99 points excellent but can't remember the placings.
Am super proud of both dogs

Thanks to Gawler dog club for organising today's agility, games trial. Judges, stewards and helpers. You guys rock. Thanks Victor and Rachael for running crazy Mysty.
Morning started badly after Darcy tripped me over so was in pain today. Mysty was just crazy. She fought victor but managed a clear with second place. Open jumping fought Rachael and couldn't do the tyre. Took 3 attempts to do a tyre. Rachael also did master jumping and was naughty. Thought today was going to be a day of fails. Her brains came back. Master Gamblers 1st place and title. Snooker masters 1st place and a title. Spdm nice run but overtime.
Darcy girl was good in her crate came home for a nice run and was amused with her dinner and her topple

Was SAODC rally and trick trial.Helen and her beautiful dog Sascha entered her in both tricks and rally. Scored a pass in Rally Excellent but 2 first places in tricks. We worked hard on tricks and it paid off. Huge congratulations to you guys. Many more passes to come

Well tonight Mysty, Darcy and I went travelling down south for a scent trial. Entering Excellent Containers and Exterior. Darcy came and socialised and was a very good girl. Stayed quietly in her crate while I went off and competed and said hello to everyone. I wasn't prepared at all. No training.
Well she surprised me passed both a third in exterior and a fourth in containers. Very scary cause now Mysty can compete in master containers
Thanks to the judges, stewards and everyone else that ran the trial. Very much appreciated

Well today was the final scent work trial held at Para Districts. Thanks to everyone that organised this trial. The last few trials Mysty and i have failed. Been a huge learning curve jumping into excellent. Tonight was container's and tonight was the night
She flew around the course in 46.28 seconds with a first place to boot. No stuffing around. Super proud of my girl

Tonight was SACA Top Obedience and Rally awards night. So proud of Montego Mystique. Mysty won the Top Obedience and the Top Rally award tonight. She's had an awesome year. Winning 4 State titles. State Utility, State Rally Master, State Titled Advance and State Titled Excellent Titles. We entered UDX with 1 pass and a few near passes. What a hard class UDX is.
Thanks to Aylie Fraser for breeding this awesome girl. She just loves to work. Thanks to Dogssa and the obedience advisory and Lyn for doing the paper work. What a hard job that is. The other award winners here tonight. Congratulations to my buddy Andrena she worked hard with Archie.
So that's the end of season 2023. See what we can achieve next year

Well I got exciting mail today. My beautiful and smart Mystique won a Dog SA Top Dog Award. Will be presented on the 14th November. Super proud of her as she won both Top Obedience and Rally last year.

Around July we did Botts which is a 100metre straight sprint chasing a bag. Very pleased with mysty as she stayed on course lol. If people seen her she loves to run not often chasing the bag but the bag chasing her. Anyway Mysty won her group

Was quite busy so finally got to write this 16 and 17 september we had our State Obedience Championship. Was a very busy weekend. Mysty was in ud, open, rally master titled advance and excellent and ccd with Bolt a friends Australian Shapherd on the saturday. Same thing on Sunday including UDX. Was a very successful weekend.
