Meet some of our gorgeous patients we had in this week at North East Vet Clinic.

First up we have the beautiful Miss Abby! She came in for Aural Hematoma surgery on her ear 🐶

Then there's Chewie ❤this big handsome boy came in for double entropion surgery on his eyes.

Miss Frankie came in for desexing and is sporting the amazing PetQuip surgery suit to keep her comfy and from licking at her surgery site 🐶

And finally, Miss Millie who also came in for desexing. When she woke up from her procedure, all she wanted to do was be wrapped up like a baby and cuddled 🥰

Oh my!! Did Nurse Bec and Dr Bahaa have their hands full with these 3 Muskateers today!

These little siblings, Astro, Maple and Cub all came in for desexing and vaccinations today. Check out Paws and Claws Adoption page for more information on these cuties.

Nurse Bec couldn't help but laugh the entire time at them as all they did was play. 🐱❤️ and these pictures were not easy to take 😅

Handsome Bailey came in for desexing today, and when he was waking up from his procedure, he was a little scared.

Bailey didn't want to recover in the cage. Instead, he wanted to recover in Nurse Bec's lap (it's a hard job sometimes 😉)

How cute is Master Charlie?! Yesterday he came in for desexing and decided that he wanted to be a receptionist for the afternoon and help Nurse Bec on the front desk. He worked hard for about 5mins and then cuddled up on Bec's lap back to sleep until Mum came to pick him up.

Why Grandma....What BIG teeth you have! 😳🦷
Did you know that when your puppy loses their baby teeth, they are replaced with 42 Adult Teeth (Yes, your read right...42!!)
Sometimes, these baby teeth do not fall out when the adult tooth breaks through. This is what we refer to as "deciduous teeth" or "retained baby teeth"
Billy here had 9 extra teeth when he came in for desexing meaning he had 51 teeth. He went home with 42! We recommend having these baby teeth removed at the time of desexing to prevent any issues later down the track!

Quite often we are asked the question “What happens if I don't cut my dog's nails?” So let’s discuss what actually happens If You Don't Trim Your Dog's Nails? Your dog won't be able to walk or run correctly when their nails get too long. This may cause them to put stress on different joints which can lead to problems like arthritis.
