Another weekend, another show for Ember. As you can see, she takes it very seriously 🤣🤣 this weekend we we did the the aus cattle dog club of SA all breeds show. This weekend was her first time up in the big girl classes. She is now 6.5 months old.

Ember is slow getting the hand of standing still 🤣🤣 we received our first set of points towards her championship title! we are starting to hit the gangly stage as well as being almost completely out of coat. Which can only mean her first season is coming soon. We will be having a break from shows for a bit 😀 as the weather *hopefully* starts to cool our focus will shift to sledding ^_^

Embers clearly had a stressful weekend of being beaten 🤣🤣 her last lot of shows in baby puppy were last night and today. From tomorrow, she will be up with the big kids 🥹🥹 can't believe she is 6 months tomorrow!

Atti came out for the first time since the royal. He was only corsos enter and took out all 3 BOB on offer for him. Last night in the heat he was a turd but he moved nicely the other shows ^_^

Smooth brain had a good weekend at the show ^_^

Ember was awarded all 4 baby of breeds on offer ^_^ no love in group but its all experience under her belt. Only a handful of shows left until she is up with the big kids!

She is picking this show thing up quickly! Very proud of her and how much she has picked up in only a handful of shows ^_^

Long time between posts! We've been busy with life these past few months!
Ember is now 5 months old! Where has the time gone! Adding a photo dump of some of our adventures. Including experiencing the river!

We finally made it to our first show last weekend which she was awarded:

Today we had the South Australian Sled Dog Club AGM. They also did the pointscore results for the season!

Millie, Solar and I came second overall in 2 dog Veteran for the season. Proud of my 2 oldies, they just keep on keeping on. Atti and I didn't place in anything as we swapped classes around a bit.

While we are in the off season the adult dogs are enjoying their off season. Ember will start foundation training of learning the commands out on walks. So when it comes time to finally get in front of a scooter it should all click into place :)

Embers first week and she is settling in well! Her and Atticus are best buddies. Solar enjoys her for awhile then is quiet happy to hand her back off to Atti. Millie is just being typical Millie 🤣 she has now realised Ember isn't going anywhere and is making an effort to be nice.
We've had our first bath and blow dry at work. Handled it like a champ. Minimal screaming for dryer 🤣. By the end of being dried she was standing confidently.

She had her first show training class Wednesday. She handled that really well :)

We started puppy school today, using it to work on learning in distracting environments and to be calm and focused on me around high stimulating situations.

Ember is the newest addition to our family. She will be our new sledding, showing and breeding prospect.

Daniel and I are very greatful to our dear friends at Winter Affair Siberian Huskies for allowing us to welcome home this beautiful crackhead of a puppy. I'm currently in QLD spending time with not only Ember but Kim and Kimberley for a few days before Ember fly down on Sunday ❤️❤️❤️

Royal 2023 done and dusted!

Atticus placed second in open dog class. He performed perfectly and I couldn't ask for anything more from him. He handled the crowds amazingly. Loved all the pats and love. He is such a well balanced dog!

He made friends with a little Italian greyhound baby. He was super gentle with him 😍

Last weekend we attended our last sled race of the year. Only raced the Sunday due to family commitments on the Saturday.

Only ran the huskies due to temps being up a little to high for the big boy :) paige raced her peewees class and stepped up to 2 dogs!

We've had a eventful season woth injuries and sickness, hoping next year is a bit more smooth!

Now Atticus and I hope into show mode and get ready for our breed day at the Royal Adelaide Show. This coming Tuesday the 5th of September :)
