So excited! Cross everything for 4 weeks time!

🥳 EXCITING NEWS 🥳

Our very first mating has been completed & now we wait very eagerly & patiently for confirmation in 4wks time to see if the pregnancy has stuck.

A very exciting time for us here 😀 keeping everything crossed for successful implatation and a healthy pregnancy for Mia 🖤

Half way in the season update 🙌

So far this season we've competed in NVSDC, SASDC race 2 and then just the past weekend SASDC trophy race which was also the ASSA Nationals!

We've mainly been running Ember in 1 Dog open class. This is a big ask for such a young novice dog who before NVSDC had only done small puppy runs last year.

To say she has blown us away is a understatement! She just keeps getting better and better! On Saturday saw her crack and average of 20.4km/ph over 3.3km! She absolutely smashed it, the track we done has lots of inclines and a steep hill at the end! While we may not be in any contention for placing with all the hounds running. We aim to beat ourselves and compare ourselves to fellow Siberians. Sunday we had a few little goals, unfortunately due to dog/musher errors I got sent flying over handle bars landing head first and on my back. I laid there for 30 seconds gathering thoughts and mental checking everything before getting up with help of a fellow musher. We still finished that heat and had an overall average speed of 19.2km/ph.

I can't thank and of WinterAffair Siberian huskies enough for our chaos of a red! She was born to be something special! I believe a bit of Luna came back in her and I reckonise it on track due to having called her Luna a few times on trail 🫶

Race 4 in a few weeks time! For now we recover, rest and train!
