Good dogs don’t turn bad
It’s bad ownership that turns good dogs bad
Dogs are born innocent - they’re a blank canvas ready to learn
When you get that cute puppy or that older puppy or dog, you must Socialise socialise socialise whether it’s training, taking out for coffee dates whatever - it’s very important that you do this - socialisation and training
It is also very important that you don’t react to their barking naughty behaviour
ie being embarrassed, unnerved, scared!
Dog parks are not the answer - your dog doesn’t need dog friends - you’re their dog friend, you’re their everything, you’re their life
Dogs need DISCIPLINE ROUTINE and BOUNDARIES
Think about this before you pick up your cute puppy and pop it in your bed to sleep with you at night
Reminder this is the ultimate promotion to Captain in a dog’s mind - sleeping with the top dog ! Not something that is for everyone in the “pack”
Always remember you need to be the boss of your dog
Not your dog being the boss of you
