Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone who's supported me on this venture, being able to provide for my family and my extended family to achieve things I never thought possible.

Wouldn't be where I am without you all, you've stuck by me through everything, I've gained so many and lost many beautiful clients whether it be the fur babies or their parents and my heart goes out to all of you.

I'll continue to provide the best quality and relationships with all of you.

Lina my favourite ChowChow.

We have come so far!
In the beginning she hated being picked up, brushed, dematted, touched or anything to do with her feet. I would have to get the owners to come around and pick her up or transfer her from bath to table because she didn't trust me.
She would bark and turn on your really fast but it was always just a scare tactic to get you to stop and it worked.

Now she lets me do all the things she would never let me, she loves a pat and a chin scratch and the rest is purely tolerate which is all I need, sometimes we go 2 steps forward and 1 step back, the grooms arent always perfect, its always been a do what you can but last week I was really proud of this groom and when the owner messages you saying this is the "best groom shes ever had" that makes any doubt disappear completely, refills my battery to provide the best I can, pushes me to do my best and continue to learn everyday.

From a kid just living his dream, thankyou.
To the loyal customers who have stood by me time and time again and continue to return, the ones who spread the word and get out the name, thankyou. I wouldnt be able to do this without you.
Providing for me and my family doing exactly what i'm meant to be doing is a gift in itself.

A couple beauties from yesterday and today before the heat cancelled the day

Ive made some incredible progress with both of these two.

Kiki the Akita is a very anxious girl who has taken a few visits to warm up, from being muzzled for the groom to now being completely unmuzzled. She still isnt the happiest when I pick her up and she tells me off but even a transfer from the bath to the table to tidy her feet this time was a giant win.

Arlo is an Aussie shepherd who started off wanting to bite the blow dryer and with their owners being active in their grooming schedule to book in regularly we have gotten ontop of the desensitisation so now he stands there patiently and lets me work my magic.

Ellie and Allie the golden retrievers came in with some compacted hair and matted bums but we got them both back to their respectable selves.

Today I had the luxury of grooming this sweet old man, his name is Rory and he wanted to just lay down and be pampered with a couple 😴 in-between.

If youre looking for a new member, please consider opening your home to a German Shepherd in need 🥰 sad how many businesses and Shelters that are going under 😭

Dear Friends,
It is with much sadness that we announce the closing down of German Shepherd Dog Rescue SA Inc. Over the last ten years, we have rehomed over 400 dogs and have supported many owners to keep their beloved pets. We have done this with a very small team of dedicated volunteers.

Over the last year, we have seen a significant drop in adoption applications making it much harder to find homes for dogs. This, coupled with challenges and changes to health and family situations for many of our key volunteers, has meant that we have made the difficult decision to close the rescue. All GSD Rescue SA Inc. assets will go to another registered rescue with similar aims.

Our heartfelt thanks to our incredibly dedicated volunteers and donors, to the responsible breeders who support their dogs long after they have left their kennels, and to you all, our wonderful friends. By spreading the word, you have all helped this gorgeous breed so much.

While GSD Rescue SA will no longer be here to help, please don’t forget there are amazing rescue organisations across SA. Please use a reputable rescue organisation if you need to rehome, and please consider adoption if you are looking for a new furry family member.

Murphy in for his first time, little bit scared and bouncy but he calmed down relatively quickly, such a happy boy.

All booking for the rest of the year are taken!
