All profits from Beau’s Pet Hotel are directed back to Guide Dogs, so when you book your beloved pets for a holiday at Beau's, you are helping to provide more services to South Australians living with disability. Beau was the very first formally trained Guide Dog in Australia, in 1951, and provide his handler, Elsie Mead, with 13 years of faithful service. It’s almost New Year's Eve! 🥳 Here are some tips to keep pets safe as we welcome 2025 🎉
Fireworks and noise, like countdowns and cheers, can be a source of anxiety for our pets. Create a safe space for them indoors, with familiar blankets, toys, and maybe some calming music to help them feel more at ease. Remember, some pets may even try to escape, so make sure all doors, fences and gates are secure! 🎇🐶
Ensure they have proper identification tags and up-to-date microchip details for added security.
Many human foods can be harmful to their health, so keep it to yourself and stick to pet-friendly treats while keeping an eye on those wandering noses!

Hot weather tips to keep your pets cool! 😎❄️
- Try using a pet cooling mat: They absorb your pet’s body heat when they are laying on it. Simply place it on the floor and let the mat do the rest!
- Close the curtains or blinds, especially if you're not home for the day. This will give your pet relief from the heat and might even save on electricity bills!
- If you are going outside with your pet, don’t forget to use a pet-safe sunscreen. This is especially impawtant if your pet is light in colour or hairless, as they are most likely to suffer from sunburn.
- If your pet has long hair, ensure to manage mats and tangles. This will keep them cooler! DO NOT shave/clip your pet without chatting to your vet or groomer first – the extra fur that keeps them warm in winter may also keep them cool in summer.

While us hoomans indulge in delicious food, it's important to remember that people food is high in salt and sugar can cause significant health issues for our furry companions 🐾🤢
Food like: cooked bones, chocolate, stuffing, and sweets could result in a trip to the vet! So let's keep them healthy and safe by sticking to their regular diet and providing them with approved pet treats 🐶😸

🌟 BEAU'S HOLIDAY OPENING HOURS 🌟
🐾 Day care will be closed 23rd of December and re-opening on the 2nd of January.
🪮 Grooming is closed on public holidays.
🧳 Reception is open for Boarding customers as usual, except Christmas Day (25th of December). We will be closed, but have a customer service staff member from 10am-2pm to answer any enquiries that come through and send pet updates.
🛎️ Boarding check-in and check-out times are 8am-11am and 3pm-6pm.
If you won't be visiting Beau's until next year, have a wonderful holiday from all of us here at Beau's Pet Hotel and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2025! 🧡

SERVICES WE PROVIDE
Beau’s Pet Hotel offers luxury and standard accommodation for dogs and cats. All kennels are spacious, climate controlled and serviced by trained staff. No matter if your dog is in standard or luxury boarding, pet ‘parents’ can choose from a menu of additional extras.
All the dogs are free-run in indoor and outdoor training yards, ensuring they get plenty of exercise and fun. Beau's caters for a personalised experience for your pet.
Beau’s also offers doggy-day-care Monday to Friday for those pet ‘parents’ who would like their dog to enjoy additional socialisation while they are at work. Dogs get to play and run in indoor and outdoor areas, depending on the weather.
Additionally, we offer in-house grooming for any dog accessing the facility or services. Dogs can enjoy shampoo with massage and a gentle brush at the end.
Prices for boarding are dependent on peak or off peak seasons and if animals are sharing accommodation.
