On Thursday, my last beating heart Eden 💜 was off to her forever family!

The long wait for her family as they prepared everything ready for her, in anticipation of her arrival, all came together like it was meant to be❤️

This sweet Angel has had me by the heart strings! She is the most sweetest little girl with the most beautiful temperament!
So much love to give, endless cuddles and the best co-sleeper!😍
It was so hard to so goodbye❤️

But our little Eden is off living her best life with her family that couldn’t have been a better fit!

We are so excited for you our little princess and know you will be the best hands ever!❤️

We thank Edens family from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to support our strict and healthy program and for making our decision for Eden’s home an easy one, knowing she is going to be in the best home living her best life.

We are forever grateful to be able to feel content in our hearts❤️

HANKS NEW JOURNEY BEGINS!!

Oh our handsome man, with his larger than life personality, has found the perfect family and his new journey begins!

Hanky Panky I will miss you soooo much!! You had me in stitches every evening because of how funny you are! But you will have the best life with your new adorable family, who absolutely made my heart warm when they first laid eyes on you!!

This is some amazing info provided by AJT Frenchies Sydney that is really important to know!
Vets don’t always get it right unfortunately, and education is key and can seriously help your baby as well as multiple trips to the vet!

Let’s talk 👁️ 𝙴𝚢𝚎 𝚄𝚕𝚌𝚎𝚛𝚜 👁️ *

To start off and get it straight out -
𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗬 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗜𝗗 𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 on any ulcer. It is important to keep your dogs eyes moist and free of debris and seek veterinary care as soon as possible.

Once your vet has diagnosed the problem as an ulcer you can be given a number of treatments to help combat it -
• Terramycin or another antibiotic treatment
• Plasma
• Lubricating drops
Usually these 3 together work on severe ulcers. The antibiotic treatment works by treating the ulcer whilst the Plasma is full of healing factors and white blood cells which will help the antibiotics do their job. The lubricating drops is to help to keep your dogs eyes moist and not dry out.

With really severe ulcers like a melting corneal ulcer or a deep laceration, the vet may suggest a very old school technique where the 3rd eyelid is pulled up and sewn onto the top lid allowing the eye to be protected at all times while antibiotic treatment is applied under the lid everyday. This is not a common procedure anymore but is still done and can be very affective at treating the eye.

Ulcers can be caused be many different things -
• Rough play
• Blunt trauma - scratching their face etc
• Chemical burn - from shampoos or dry wall dust
• Foreign bodies - debris etc

Symptoms of an ulcer can include
👁️ Blinking the eye more often
👁️ Excessive tearing
👁️ Redness/inflammation/cloudiness of the eye
👁️ Swelling of the eyelid or skin around the eye
👁️ Pawing/rubbing their face
👁️ Elevated 3rd eyelid
👁️ Holding the eye shut
👁️ Yellow/green/bloody discharge from eye
👁️ Divet or hole on the eye
👁️ Off mood from your dog

Unfortunately ulcers are something that can’t really be avoided as the smallest thing can cause them so it’s important if you see any of these signs to get your dog in to see your vet asap and start treatment as they can develop into something a lot worse very quickly.
