🌞We're less than two weeks away from summer and we are seeing a lot more cases as the weather warms up! 🌞
When spring and summer comes around, we see an increase in:
🌾Grass seeds
🐍Snake bites
🐜Fleas
🌡Heat stroke
🤕Fight wounds
🐾Torn or burnt paws
🍖Toxicities
🐝Bee stings
Below are some helpful tips keep your pet out of trouble in the warmer months:
🐜Ensure your pet’s parasite control is up to date
🌱Avoid long, dry, grassy areas
🐍 Keep your yard free on long grass and debris that are likely to attract snakes - be vigilant when exercising your pet within parklands or the beach
🌾Check your pet regularly for embedded grass seeds
💈Stay on top of your pet’s grooming routine
🌞Avoid exercising your pet in hot temperatures
🐟Prevent your dog from eating decaying fish on the beach
🍫Prevent your pets from eating common holiday foods (fruit mince pies, Christmas ham, chocolate, cook bones, pudding, etc.)
🌴Ensure your dog is under effective control when exercising at the beach or parks
