Yesterday I was watching Arch move around the yard and noticed that he walked over things (like a rake or the other dog 😅) like a gangly awkward teen. Working on ‘paws up’ as well as other training, can help awkward or clumsy dogs learn how to place their feet, build strength, and confidence! Alf and Daisy having the best beach walk with other dogs around! Can you believe these kids used to be dog reactive! I am so very proud of these two and their family! People watching with my old boy! Don’t get me wrong, he went silly, rolling around and being crazy. But I’m so proud of his doing nothing 😍 Banksy was dog reactive for a period in his adulthood, triggered by being attacked while he was on leash at the beach (by an off leash dog), and then within a few months by another dog who rushed out of their yard (unsecured gate) while we were on a walk near our house. I did not blame him for not trusting the world and other dogs! I’m so lucky he trusts me and we have an amazing bond. now he is so tolerant, and is heaven with puppies, I couldn’t ask for a better boy. #adelaidedogtrainer #dogsofadelaide #dogtrainer #adelaide #forcefree #strongfoundationsdogtraining #largsbay

Much respect to the lovely cyclist you can hear in this video! They were super respectful of our space and I really appreciate them using their bell. My error of positioning luckily just resulted in a startle! Back with @maverickthegoldie_ for his second Walk & Train! We started the session with scent detection, and he absolutely smashed it, his walking engagement was fabulous! I feel this is the key to unlock the next step in his focus and engagement 😍 I also used my @rogz_au walking belt as we are testing different tools to make his families life and walks easier.
