Hello everyone, I just want to inform you all. As we are starting to get more requests due to coming into breeding season...
We are expecting the birth of our 2nd child late November, so we will not be actively breeding this year as we normally would. We are still taking names for the waiting lists and will aim to fulfil.
So please, if you think you might like one of our feathered kids send us a msg to go on the waiting list.
Will be very limited with budgies.
Weiros are $200 with the usual inclusions for companion raised (super friendly).
We may reduce our aviary birds also, so if you are interested in a breeding pair let us know.

Enjoying our holiday "break" but we still need our bird fix! Even Declan who was super excited to feed the black cockatoo (We eventually got him to hold the seed so she could take it from him directly which he loved).

Rare opportunity to jump the waiting list! We have a lovely White Face Grey male weiro available (ready to go). As he ages his face will go completely white. Already started copying my whistles. Message us with your interest :-)

Declan has shown an interest in Lime every time we take him to the aviary she comes upto him. So I brought her inside to introduce them. *Notes: Never let birds out when young children are not closely supervised and within quick arms reach. Their hands are very fast, they don't know their own strength and just like to grab stuff. Hence why I keep at a certain distance. I also know the birds temperament, although birds can be unpredictable if they feel threatened so beware, know the risks and worse case out comes! Enjoy :-)

This little one begs for scratches! Not seen in the video, it stops making the noise, I stop scratching it finds my thumb and leans on it then makes the begging noise... so cute 🥰

And then this beauty wanted some luv'n too. They just melt your heart dont they?

15+ years in the making!

I don’t know why exactly I was drawn to birds, maybe it was in my blood (my Grandfather I never got the chance to meet was a budgie breeder) or maybe it was my allergies to animals with fur (even though I loved all animals)... But something about birds just drew me in.

When I was just a young teen I started to breed budgies. Already having a pet Galah and a pet Budgie, thanks to my Mum (whose Father was the one I didn’t get to meet) for allowing me to continue to feed my ever growing fascination. I was lucky enough to have my Dad build my first aviary, being a welder by trade it wasn’t too difficult and that same aviary is still going strong even after several house moves. Then came the part that really reeled me in, one of my high school science teachers was also into breeding budgies and was kind enough to spend some time with me after hours to teach me about the genetics of budgie breeding. Lets just say I was hooked!

I had a dream to one day own my own business, ideally a bird park. I even remember having a conversation with Mum in those early years about looking into purchasing one that was for sale... One day I will open my bird park.

Many years on, and many different breeds of birds being pets, parents to babies I have hand raised and rescues. I have made the decision to take that first step towards my dream. I have registered the business name and will be in the process of setting up a website and online store that will become the basis of what the business will grow from.

Free to Fly Aviaries. Some might say “that’s a contradiction”... but in my eyes it’s one of the ideals I aim towards. I’m sure most of you that read this would have seen a poor bird stuck in a cage and doesn’t get to come out. Sure, people have their reasons for it “oh, he’s turned vicious... like he’ll actually attack you” or “we can’t have her inside anymore due to the noise” or probably the most common “we just don’t have enough time to spend with him, and he’s not friendly anymore”. These birds should be ‘free to fly’ in a nice safe open aviary, when we open the bird park it will be a sanctuary for those birds to be given a life they deserve.

All our birds are sold with a birth certificate, care pack & guarantees. They will only be sold to selected, appropriate homes. Sometimes you read up on the different personalities & traits of the available birds and think that you want a particular breed but after having the bird for a short while you find that it actually isn’t the right type for you. Any good breeder will offer a return & exchange policy. Although we strive to do as much homework as possible to make sure you are getting the right bird for you from the start.

In addition to the bird sales, we also offer packages including cages, toys, food, and care plans.

Our services include; - Hand Raising. Don’t have the time or you want a bird we don’t yet offer, we can hand raise for you. You will get a fully weened, confident and well socialized bird. *Conditions apply. - Boarding. Going on a holiday or weekend away? We can look after your bird/s either bring to us or we come to you. Long and short term rates. (We can also look after your other animals too. *Only available on come to you). - Cleaning. Using specific equipment and animal safe products, we can clean, disinfect & protect your cages & aviaries in a safe and convenient way. - Cage & Aviary setup. Don’t have time or unsure how to setup your cage or aviary. We can set them up to ideally suit your bird/s using your choice of manufactured or natural perches that we can supply, along with feeders, toys & nest boxes. - Supplies. Seed, Pellets, Fresh chops (fruit & veg), Fresh sprouted seed and anything purchased from our online store delivered to your door.
