We have a number of opportunities coming up for people or setup a Market stall at events at our club. This could be anything from promoting your business to a pop up shop. Or even setting up a site to sell preloved items, or a plant stall or other.
All events will have limited places. We particularly encourage home based businesses.
1st Event
Annual Barrel Race Spectacular - Saturday 24th August.
Set up from 7am
As this event goes into the early evening stall holders can stay set up as long as they wish. Most usually pack up mid afternoon.
Site fee $20. Or a donation towards either our Barrel Mega Raffle or our upcoming Fathers Day raffle .
2nd Event:
Annual Fathers Day Fun Day & 40th Anniversary celebrations.
Set up from 7.30am
Usually runs until approx mid afternoon.

Sunday 13th October - We will be combining Markets with a Barrel Race event.
Set up from 7.30am.

With the weekend almost here pop on in to see the team at Bullocks Butcher Shoppe. They have an awesome range including a range of Gluten Free, Awesome packs to suite any budget and the best range of sausages and of course the melt in your mouth Rib Fillet that we serve at the club on our steak burgers,.
Oh were do we stop. The crumb steak is the best in town.
Bullocks Butcher Shoppe are incredible sponsors of our club even personally delivery supplies out to the club for us when we are in need. Owners Shauna and Chris even volunteers at one of our recent events.

We have had to make the change to provide our volunteer organisers the time required to process all nominations, do the draw, check, double check and triple check then publish the draw.
Nominations can either be paid by bank transfer or on the day by cash or eftpos.
The next two days are spend preparing and setting up.

We would like to extend a big thank you to all who firstly waited patiently early this morning for an announcement about today's Jackpot Barrel Race. Particularly those who were getting ready to travel from out of town locations of Bowen, Burdekin, Giru & Majors Creek area, Charters Towers, plus of course all our local competitors. Making a decision to cancel and event last minute is never easy at all. We had a family who made the trip in from Torrens Creek who arrived yesterday. We thank this family for taking this trip in so unfortunate it wasn't the weekend we had all oped for.
As you all saw from posts earlier this morning we had everything ready and were as prepared as we possibly could have been. I even had the draw done and published ahead and corrected all omissions or errors raised last night.
Unfortunately the weather is one thing we can't control. After making the decision to cancel the weather worsened and some parts of Townsville even got hail from one of the storm cells that came through.
By the time we left the club after 1pm today the grounds were very wet indeed, including the area, inside our fenced area, the parking areas and the driveway in. We have had considerable rain since.

Big thank you also to Tracey, Skye and Nathan who helped us with prep and set up and then pack up.
We would also like to thank all for their kind words and supportive words under posts and in messages in response to the decision to cancel. A huge amount goes into organising, promoting and preparing for these events and to receive these messages is heart warming.

We were looking forward to using for the first time today the new electric timer and score board that we purchased thanks to an Active Womens and Girls Grant we received from the Queensland Govt. Nick Dametto MP still came along to see this new equipment. We event set up an impromptu mini Barrel Race uncover in the canteen area. Take a look at the post on our page.

We will be processing refunds for all nomination payments made. I will contact all competitors. Competitors will be given the option for a full refund or hold for payment towards any Rupertswood Barrel Race Spectacular nominations in two weeks. I will be working through these refunds over the next couple days to finalise these to then focus on our next two events.

We were planning on unveiling this new equipment today at today’s Jackpot Barrel Race. Would have been so good to use this today
This scoreboard will hand above the gate way of the race so all will be able to see the times. This will be used at Barrel Race Events, feature events in club night and whenever we can with timed events
Very grateful to the Queensland Govt for the Active Women’s and Girls Grant.
Thank you Nick Dametto MP for taking the time to visit us today to see this amazing new equipment

4 WEEKS TO GO until our
Annual Father's Day Fun Day
This year this event doubles as our Club's 40th Anniversary Celebration.
We would like extend an invitation to all present and past members and supporters to come along on this day.
We will have a Coffee Van on site from 7.30am

Unfortunately Due to the rain so far this morning and what is forecast for the remainder of today we have made the decision to to CANCEL today.
We are extremely disappointed as everything is ready to go.
We apologise to all.
We thank those who have been waiting patiently thus morning for our decision.
We also thank k all who nominated and in particular those who were to travel from out of town.

Notice in relation to today’s Jackpot Barrel Race. It has been raining here at the club the last few hours and heavier the last hour. Radar isn’t looking in our favour.
We will make a final decision at daylight.
For those of you travelling from out of town possibly stay put for now .

All draws are now posted.
These will also be printed and posted on the wall outside the Nomination/Secretary office.
Late nominations tomorrow close at 8am and will incur a late fee of $15 per rider.
Late nominations - your run will be added at the end of the run sheet for the event you are nominating for
We have moved to nominations before the day to make processing and preparing the draw, stress free for the person/s doing all this work.
Please if we have made an error at all pm our page and we will get it fixed. Remember we are only human. Though we have done our best to check over things.

Draw is underway.
Here is the draw for the Exhibition Runs on Sunday.
This is just the list of names
This does not mean this is the order for which you need to go in.
Riders are allowed a max of 1 minute 30 sec in the arena. A whistle will blow at 1 minute. At this time we ask that you kindly exit the arena for the next rider to commence their run.
Once these riders have all completed their exhibition run then we will rake the Arena and go straight into the first round of the 3D
Print outs of all draws will be posted on the side wall of the noms box.
We ask that riders enter through the back blue gate at the back yard.
We will have a section on the far side of the arena sectioned off with Bunting to create a warm up area.
