Intelligence in an animal can be challenging. It has its pro’s and con’s!
Jäger is just ten weeks old. He’s been with us for two weeks.
He’s already learned to sit near the back door to be let out for the toilet.
The key has been consistency. Taking him to the same spot, after each meal, after every drink, when he wakes up and when he’s sniffing around.
There have been accidents. Many! But he has started to know that the back door is the way to the grass for toilet time and he lets us know.
Being intelligent can also lead to stubbornness, but the idea is to be the leader, to command attention and to keep them entertained through training and the use of toys as stimulants.
