On the 20th of October we took three of our competition horses to the our first pony club zone interclub of the year. It was a lot of fun & our horses were absolutely amazing!!

On the 19th of October we took four of our competition horses to the our pony club zone jumping championships. All four horses were amazing & tried extremely hard!

The four horses we took for this day were:

Born at 6:03pm on the 20th of October, one day from being exactly three weeks overdue.
This gorgeous boy was our first day time birth which was so exciting! Although we were on our way home from a horse competition when the foal alarm told us she had gone into labour, we made it just in time!

Out of Paloma Kool Exposure (Palomino Frame Overo PHAA) & by Dun In Ice (Red Dun Tobiano PHAA).

He’s a stunning little boy & we are all just smitten with him already!
He is not only Shiloh’s first baby, but also Ice’s first baby with us, which makes him very special!

We are overjoyed with our gorgeous golden boy, born during golden hour 🌅
Can’t wait to watch this beautiful little boy grow up 💖

~ 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟜 ℙ𝕠𝕟𝕪 ℂ𝕒𝕞𝕡 ~

From the 7th-12th of October we attended our pony club’s annual pony camp. We took five horses & three riders: Wayouts Royal Brite Spark (Connor Lewis), Wayouts Royal Nebula (Amber Lewis), Wayouts Dreams R Dun (Annika Cann), Barnica Dunup In Amber (Amber Lewis) & MPP Little Roan (Amber Lewis).

All five of our horses were absolutely amazing & could not have given us a better week! We had so much fun!

Thankyou so much to Anthony Rushby for the absolutely gorgeous photos! We could not be more thankful for your never ending perfect photo supply that we look through each night as the week goes!!

Wayouts Royal Brite Spark is a full sibling to our stallion Dun In Ice.

A memory that came up on my phone today. This day a year ago (3/6/23) was Ice’s first big makeover with us. He absolutely loved it too!! And looked so clean & sparkly at the end 💖
Just had to reshare the photos of our precious boy looking so very handsome!!

We have been doing halter & lead training with all our our beautiful foals to get them ready for their new homes. We have been slowly weaning Moon & Milky, who are taking to the process fabulously!

This stunning stallion needs no introduction to the PHAA society, for he has been around both in competition & through his many progeny.

Affirmative (iiu) is a 2003, 16hh, PHAA sorrel overo stallion.
Leased & standing at stud at Barnica Paint Horse Stud, owned by Jodie Ward.

Sired by Sonny’s Top Gun (USA), foaled from Skipastaray (USA)
His sire was Grand Halter Champion in the USA 11 times, amongst other achievements. Whilst his mother Skipastaray was not only imported into Australia but was then introduced into the hall of fame in 2015, due to being the first mare to be an APHA & PHAA champion, as well as achieving incredibly high results within the PHAA association events.

Affirmative himself is a Superior All Round Horse Award Winner. As well as: 2007 PHAA Nationals High Point Junior Horse,
2007 PHAA Nationals Futurity Champion,
Silver & Bronze Centuries in Halter,
Bronze Century in Hunter Under Saddle,
5 Superior Champion Awards,
11 Register of Merits inc: Halter, Hunter In Hand, Lungeline, Hunter Under Saddle, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Trail, Led Hack, Hacking Barrel Racing.,
Multiple national champions from PHAA show.
Sire of many State & National champions.

So without further ado, we are proud to welcome Affirmative to Barnica Paint & Quarter Horse Stud, we thank his owner Jodie Ward for entrusting him to us on lease & cannot wait to see what his future with us holds.

On the weekend we took our competition horses to another pony club zone gymkhana, this time in Armidale. The weather was at times iffy however our three horses were great & we are so happy with the rain we ended up getting after the comp finished that continued through the evening.
