Hello my Discuiteer friends!! I am missing you all very much. Whilst I am still workin’ workin’ workin’ I’m also loving that I have been still been baking some special celebration Meatcakes (and bikkies and delicious jerky - hello to Black Lab Coffee and Manly Road 24hr Veterinary Hospital 🐶😘) Here are a few of my favourite Meatcakes from the last few months… 🥰

Last month I had the joy of creating a birthday Meatcake for darling Kaia whose mum was planning a sea themed pawty based around her favourite octopus toy. Looove the result!! Love her ❤️

Hello Discuiteers, it’s been a while I have to apologise, and give you a bit of an update. To let you know that as the price of life has risen soo much recently I’ve started back working full time for a bit. The only ripple you might notice is your orders may take a little longer than usual to arrive - I’m still baking the wonderful food and treats I love to make don’t worry! 🐶❤️ but sorry if there are any delays with deliveries.

Discuiteer pawrents - it’s tick season, please read and start taking action today! It can happen to anyone! 😫 Your pup is worth the effort. ❤️🐶

World War T. (T = Ticks)
Minnie had a tough time recovering from her encounter with a paralysis tick.
Tick paralysis is a major battle to fight on its own, but combine that with secondary complications like aspiration pneumonia then sometimes it is a battle that not even the strongest, smartest army of Veterinarians can win.

Small but mighty & with the life saving efforts of our incredible team of Vets & Nurses/Techs Winnie is now recovering in the loving arms of her family.
With paralysis ticks currently waging a war against your best friend it is time for them to wear their armour into the battlefield. 🦾
Armour -
1. Monthly Tick Prevention
2. Keep your garden & lawns trimmed.
3. Physically check your little soldier daily by rubbing your hands all over them. Pay close attention to their head & neck areas. (They will love all this attention)
4. On their walks try to stick to paths & tracks & out of long grass & bushes.
5. Bandicoots & rats can drop paralysis ticks in your yard so even in the safety of your little soldiers bunker they can be under threat.
It’s time to draw the line in the stand & fight for the good guys. Who’s side will you be on this tick season?

To all of our Sunshine Coast Discuiteers, please read and take care

Residents of the Sunshine Coast please use caution if walking your pets around the areas of Buddina, Minyama, Pt Cartwright and La Balsa.

We unfortunately have had a series of patients presenting with alike symptoms that may suggest a toxicity by ingestion. Although we are unable to confirm the cause of these presentations the link to these patients is the area that they have walked within the 12 hours prior.

Symptoms to look out for are gastrointestinal upsets, lethargy, or any change to your pets behaviour.

We have chosen to err on the side of caution and have made local authorities aware.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us or your local veterinarian if you have concern.

I feel very blessed living in the world of Discuits, of course the absolute best part is the friendships with our Discuiteers and their pawrents. Some I have know most of their lives (the Discuiteers that is!) and being greeted by a waggily tailed happy hound is like medicine. I love them all. Today a lovely little hound kept popping into my thoughts - Bella. Always kept a sneaky tub of mixed bikkies aside for her so she wouldn’t miss out. I miss her so I made this for her mum ###

Meet Piedee! Also known as the Discuits Dog AKA the Discuits Shark 😄
I thought it was long overdue that I formally introduce you to the Discuits muse. Piedee has been the inspiration and avid taste tester behind the scenes of Discuits for the past almost 10 years. When I first got Piedee there were very few handmade, homemade dog treats on the market. What was available 😖… well if I wasn’t prepared to eat it I wasn’t going to give to her!! This inspired me as her dog mum to create natural, healthy and tasty dog treats that are all handmade with love so she could enjoy the finer things our dogs deserve. Cause they are so worth it aren’t they. ❤️ As these years have passed, and with Piedee’s help, the Discuits range has really grown and continues to evolve as she ages and we now are creating and making special dietary products.

Piedee’s favourite Discuit: ROASTY CHICKEN (often I run out early at the market as she has eaten all the stock beforehand! Haha)
Piedee’s favourite cafe snack: MINI MEATCAKE with cream cheese 🥰
She also gets a special birthday Meatcake each year (lucky hound! Although she thinks all dogs get treats all day and fancy Meatcakes each year.. 🙄😂)
