What a fantastic opportunity! A new exciting venue for introduction to K9 Nose Work. Hosted by a certified nosework instructor.

Starts next Sunday!

I'm really excited to offer K9 Nose Work in such a lovely location. A special thanks to local trainer, Alex from Dig Dog Training for organising this course.

This venue ticks lots of boxes, including: lots of shade for dogs resting in cars between searches; fenced areas for outdoor searches off lead; great indoor space; accessible for all abilities.

The introduction to K9 Nose Work does NOT require any previous scent training or obedience, and we accommodate all dogs to ensure their comfort and welfare. If you'd like to know more, get in touch.

Sundays 10.30am to 12.15pm

(no training Grand Final long weekend)
Cost: $180 per dog

🐶 Intro to Odour
Sundays 1.00pm to 2.45pm
September 1, 8, 15, 22 & October 6
(no training Grand Final long weekend)
Cost: $220 per dog - includes a Scent Kit for you to keep

Sniffing courses in Romsey….

For those who may have already completed an intro… this is a great opportunity to build more into your foundations! Different venue, different teams and different instructor.

And if you’re just about to start, this is a great place to start. 🐾

UPCOMING COURSES _ ROMSEY

K9 Nose Work® is the way in which we teach pet dogs scent detection skills. It’s a fun, natural dog activity that doesn’t require special equipment or additional cost. It can be done just about anywhere; it requires no previous training or obedience – just a dog that enjoys sniffing and food!

It is suitable for (almost) any dog, including:

- Dogs who have difficulty being around other dogs. In K9 Nose Work, dogs work one at a time, and are relaxing in cars (weather permitting) between searches.
- Dogs who are fearful or anxious can benefit from Scent Work by building confidence
- Dogs who are overactive can learn to focus and direct their energy into a task.

Why not give your dog the opportunity to have fun and burn lots of mental and physical energy in the process?

As another Intro to K9 Nosework ® concluded today, I was privileged to hear some observations from the teams.

These included how sleepy the dogs are after the sessions as well as they are settling and resting between searches.

So lovely to hear handlers recognising the benefits of such a fun inclusive activity for their dogs.

Let them sniff!!!

Unlike humans who are more visual, dogs ‘see’ the world through their noses.

Sniffing can provide our dogs with important information about their environment. As well, it can be calming and lower stress levels, reduce cognitive decline, and promote overall well being.

A leisurely self paced sniffy walk can provide physical and mental exercise and stimulation for our dogs, and maybe for us too.

So much fun, especially in new and novel places! It didn’t take the sniffers too long to solve the puzzle in the dog wash…and the puppy school!

Lovely seeing the dogs take it all in their stride and find the hides.
