No edibles are used in training of the piggies, dogs and horses🐴🐖🐕🦺
The reward is in the development and creation of a common language and understanding between us human and our better beings…..
The result from positive reinforcement;
(i.e; scratches, warm reception, increased or improved comfort, calm kind voice), …
and an openness to accept the others’ difference in expression and their stage of connection, …
and firm clear redirection from negative undesirable behaviours (depending on species)….
is a happy content animal.
It works much better for us, than using treat based training - it saves a lot of expectations, mess, constant pocket picking’, slobber, in-house competition, etc… all things associated with treats and animals.
When using other methods to train and interact (without treats), the focus is now on the task/command/lesson at hand
rather than the expectation of food, and submission/performance for the sake of a treat.
The reward of our pets interacting and choosing to get along, being a mixture of predators and prey, has a lot to do with this we believe.
Basically ….😆🤪….
everyone understands no one eats one another, we all get along, each has more than their time of hands-on daily interaction, and we all eat our individual appropriate adequate diets, without any need to prey or hunt other species to happily survive in a contained controlled environment.
Where there are things like humans to get along with.
