Dental Health Month 😁
August is National Pet Dental Health Month and is aimed to highlight the importance of oral health to your pets overall health and happiness!
Did you know, just like humans, pets experience terrible pain and suffering when they have dental disease? Dental health is vital to your pets general wellbeing and if left untreated can seriously impact your pets heart, liver and kidneys.
Signs that your pet may have dental disease:
🦷 smelly breath
🦷 pawing at the mouth
🦷 difficultly or reluctance to eat
🦷 jaw chattering
🦷 drooling
🦷 head shaking
🦷 red and inflamed gums
Ways to prevent dental disease:
🪥 manually brushing your pets teeth
🪥 offer dental treats
🪥 get your pets teeth checked yearly by your regular vet to detect problems early
🪥 feed an appropriate dry food to aid in mechanical cleaning of teeth while chewing
If you think your pet may be suffering from dental disease contact your regular vet to have a dental check done and ensure your pet has a comfortable and healthy life 😬
Remember.. Early detection and prevention is better than costly dental procedures!

International Cat Day 🎉
A day to celebrate the incredible value cats bring to our lives and to remember these important cat facts:
- Cats are the best.
- You don’t own your cat, your cat owns you.
- Cats don’t care what you have to say.
- Your cat is hungry. Always.
- Cat hair is the new black.
- Your chances of being killed by your cat are low… but never zero.
- Cats already rule the world, we just don’t know it yet.
- Your cat is still hungry.

Just a couple of the cuties we had visit us today 🥰
Some of our surgery patients have a great time waiting to be desexed. Little Felix from Pyrenees Animal Rescue in the video happily played in his pen and kept the team laughing with his antics 🐱
To the best of our ability we ensure all of our patients are handled with minimal stress and we aim to maintain a calm atmosphere while working in the van. We use pheremone diffusers, low stress handling techniques and provide great medications to all of our patients to help them cope.
The TVP team are very comfortable handling spicy kitties and we give nothing but the best care to all of our patient regardless of their temperaments.
We believe all cats deserve kindness 💕
