ABOUT US:
Elite Puppies was established in 2021. The love and bonding that we saw between our children and their puppies prompted us to start our own breeding program. Our logo has been thoughtfully designed to illustrate the sharing and spreading of our wonderful puppies with your families.
We are Licenced Breeders. Our Domestic Animal Business is registered with Ballarat Council, where we must comply with our council’s local laws and are audited on a regular basis. As a Domestic Animal Business, it is mandatory for us to follow the Code of Practice for the Operation of Breeding and Rearing Business through Animal Welfare Victoria.
We are also members of Responsible Pet Breeders Association, whereby we have to follow their Code of Ethics. We work closely with our local Veterinarian who also conducts inspection of our facility, providing regular health checks and advice in the care of our dogs.
OUR PURPOSE
Our aim is to breed ethically, produce genetically healthy offspring, free of any hereditary problems, improve the standard of the breed and produce puppies with the best temperament. This is why we have conducted DNA testing on all our dogs through Orivet Genetic Pet Care and only breed pairs that are fully compatible to deliver puppies with the desired outcome. All our dogs also have their Breed Identification Certificate through Orivet Genetic Pet Care that shows their genetic makeup. These can be viewed upon request by prospective puppy parents, who will also receive a 3-year Health Guarantee for their puppy.
We follow the Puppy Culture program developed by Jane Killion, a professional dog trainer and breeder. We believe that the first 12 weeks is crucial in the development of a puppy. Hence, we provide our puppy parents with the must watch ‘Puppy Culture; The Original Film’ DVD, which can be used not only by breeders, but puppy owners, as it is also perfect for puppies of all ages.
We have a full-time Puppy Start Right Instructor on board. Puppy parents receive a ‘Puppy Start Right: Foundation Training for the Companion Dog’ Book written by Kenneth Martin and Debbie Martin that is ideal for puppies and dogs of all ages.
Puppy parents will receive Click-a-Trick with clicker developed by Karen Pryor: Clicker Training that can teach their dog useful manners and cool tricks while having fun. This, along with the Puppy Culture DVD and Puppy Start Right Book will be given as soon as deposit is paid, to maximise the time available in preparation before puppy pick up to develop a lifelong relationship.
