Our Placido finally getting a wonderful home and happy life, l'm still seeing him regularly for bodywork and hydrotherapy, to ensure he ages well.
Maremma Rescue Victoria is a wonderful organisation that saves so many lives of these livestock guardian dog breeds. These dogs are so very hard to find suitable homes for, yet this organisation still continues to rescue them and look after them until they can find homes 💕

The Emmett Technique is a safe, simple to apply muscle release therapy created in Australia by Ross Emmett. This international technique is now used in over 40 countries.
Emmett Therapy helps to release muscle related issues using the application of light touch on specific muscle points, creating postural changes and improving movement, flexibility and overall well-being.
The brain has the ability to self-evaluate and re-calibrate using sensory receptors within the body. Using light pressure the Emmett Technique works on unique points within muscles and muscle groups, allows the brain to receive and evaluate this stimulus and initiates the relaxation response in the soft tissue.

l'm finding this technique works very well with the other modalities l use including myofunctional therapy and Masterson Method. l'm always learning and adding to my toolkit and very happy with the results so far.

WINTER WELLNESS...
Yes, good ol' Winter is now upon us! I don't know about you but l certainly feel the cold a lot more now as l get older. Same goes for our older horses. To help your older horses this winter make sure they always have access to shelter and good clean mixed grass hay - their thermoregulation is pretty cool!
Keep an eye on your horses, are they getting enough sleep? Do they feel comfortable to lie down and rest properly? How are they with getting back up? Old stiff joints can be painful and make moving and lying down difficult. Regular gentle bodywork can assist them with their mobility and help to improve their quality of life.
