After a horrendous start to breeding season, it finally comes to an end, being blessed with this stunning “Medecine Hat” Filly born last night….
An enormous thank you to Jacinta for taking the reins- filling in for me as midwife, and to Candace for popping over and making sure all was okay with Mum & Bub.

Due to a change in circumstances, the heartbreaking decision has been made to put Chase on the market for sale.
He has been well & correctly handled, easy to catch, rug, good to lead, ties up, hobbles, floats great, & is good for the farrier. His worming and teeth are all up to date.

Chase has been started with some ground work and has been sat on and ridden ba****ck but not mouthed or broken yet.

Unfortunately he has some Scarring that’s fully healed from an old injury a couple years ago. Due to this he is not suitable for showing. Other than this, he is in great health.

Chase is an absolute pleasure to be around, he’s very affectionate and just wants to be your best mate. He will be best suited to cow chasing (such as penning or sorting), working equitation or a pleasure riding horse as he is not spooky and has a naturally quiet and accepting nature.
He’s very intelligent, and is a willing and quick learner.

Whoever gives him a home will not be disappointed.

With much Sadness Elemer Clydesdales lost a foal this morning.
Trying to turn this sad event into a positive, if anyone has an Orphan foal that needs fostering we have a lovely calm mare, who has had foals before and is a great mum.

Halo as he is affectionally known, is a 2 year old Gelding by the versatile Clydesdale stallion Jeanal Summer Solstice out of Friesian x Paint mare Mystic Shadows Gypsy Angel.
Jeanal Summer Solstice is a multi supreme winner in led, ridden and harness.
Mystic Shadows Gypsy Angel is a calm sweet and affectionate mare and is my “go to“ horse for riding out on trails in the bush, alone or in groups.

Halo is 50% Clydesdale and 25% Friesian & 25% Paint horse. A lovely mix for a versatile sport horse. Expected to mature around 15hh.

Halo is a beautifully put together Gelding with striking markings. Bred and raised at home in Bargo near the Southern Highlands, he has good bone and an incredible temperament. He has had extensive handling and is easy to catch, lead, tie up, groom, wash, rug, worm, float and is good for the farrier.

Halo is branded, microchipped & recorded with the Commonwealth Clydesdale Horse Society Cross Bred Registry of Australia and eligible for registration with the Clydesdale Cross Sport Horse Association and the Australian Heavy Horse Association.

Halo has had the foundations put in place for a competitive future.
A horse not to be overlooked and one that would be an asset to any competition or pleasure home.

It’s been an emotional and bittersweet few days for me, but I am delighted that Banjo has found his forever home with the lovely Tricia McCarthy.
I look forward to hearing about the adventures the two of you endeavour…
It was so lovely getting to know you and Chantelle over the past few days.
I couldn’t have asked for a better home and I have no doubt we will meet again.
Ironically Banjo will be travelling west to WA and living not to far from his only two full siblings….
Talk about 6 degrees of separation, but some things are just meant to be.
Good Luck Banj, your going to be missed 🖤

He really is a unicorn.
Banjo is good to catch, trim, shoe, worm, float, clip etc.
Ties up at the float all day.
Is hobble trained.

Leave him a week.
Leave him 6 months…. Just catch from the paddock get on and go….
He really is a beautiful consistent gelding.

Great on trails, alone or in groups.
Have ponied horses off him.
Has had vaulters all over his back….

There really is nothing that phases him.

Been to 1 dressage day, was impeccably behaved and scored 67.5 in the prelim and 61.3 in the novice.
Banjo has done very minimal jumping due to his age and size but point and shoot and he goes….
He’s been to a working equitation obstacle day and nothing was a problem or phased him.

He would be best suited to someone who is a confident rider and wanting a fun all rounder that they can be competitive with, but don’t need to work every day...
A busy mum perhaps, that when she finally has some me time, knows she can just throw the saddle on him and go. Or if it’s raining all week in the lead up to a planned event doesn’t need to stress that he hasn’t been ridden all week as he’s so calm and consistent.

I had a huge weekend at the Australian Heavy Horse Spectacular…
My show experience kicked off with a very proud stud moment for me, with 2 yearlings (a filly and a gelding) that I had bred both sired by my heart horse Sunny, taking out the top two placings, 1st and 2nd in a very competitive field of yearlings.
I wish to say a huge congratulations to Brooke Whyte on your big win with Elemer Showgirl, who then went on to take out a Reserve Champion Youngstock Clydesdale! I’m so proud of you and Lola!
In the afternoon it was then time for harness, Sunny was impeccably behaved and we managed a second place in the two wheel turnout and a second place in the lady driver.
After a very long day Saturday, I returned on Sunday for the Ridden Class…. And what can I say- Sunny won the flowers…. Champion Ridden Purebred Heavy horse…. 💐🏅
and then a Reserve in the Rider Class.
A big congratulations to my good friend Ash winning champion! Your a beautiful rider and Harry was super 💕
I wish to thank the Shire Horse Breeders Australia Inc for putting on such a spectacular event, the judges, the volunteers and organisers, and of course all the other competitors who supported the event, it’s everyone coming together that makes these events such a success…
and congratulations to all the fellow competitors on their results and success.

Elemer Showgirl (Lola)
Lola had a Visit from Dr Karim yesterday, who checked over both Kendall and Lola.
Both are doing very well, and Lola has passed her IgG test with a very good reading. 💗

With a chilly start yesterday morning at 4am washing legs, we had an enjoyable day at Blacktown Show! It was a well run show and it was pleasing to see the heavy horse classes strongly supported! All in all despite the icy wind chill plenty of laughs was had with the most awesome bunch of people we know!
To top it off, our Yearling c**t, Elemer Showman won his class and went on to win Champion Young stock.
Very excited & looking forward to this horses future!
