🎊 EXCITING NEWS 🎊

As of March 2025, I will be offering private DIY Dog Grooming Lessons.

I will teach you how to groom your dog from start to finish, along with all the information you will need to know about gear, maintenance, cleaning, purchasing the right gear to save you momey, and much more.

At this stage, I am offering two classes.

🐾 Small breeds that require clipping or deshedding under 15kg.

🐾 Large breeds that require clipping or deshedding, 15kg and up.

I will be introducing some mini classes throughout the year that will teach you how to clip your dogs' nails and for more basic grooming requirements for other breeds that do not require clipping.

Please don't hesitate to get in contact with me for more information and to make a booking.

I'd just like to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my lovely clients.

I'm officially on holidays and won't be returning till the 8th of January.
So my work phone is officially being turned off. 😁 I'll get back to you all when I can.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me with my small business and to all those who have been more than accommodating when I have had to reschedule or cancel appointments. I really appreciate you all.

As we approach Christmas I thought I'd take the time to post up a few important reminders for everyone and their dogs.

I know we all love to spoil our pets and can't resist giving them that treat, their dinner and the left over Christmas turkey.... But it's very important to remember that we ultimately hold the health of our dogs in our own hands.
Here is a chart showing everyone the body score of a dog.

Unfortunately it is becoming all too normal for our dogs to be over weight.
I am seeing more and more health problems and skin conditions than ever before. Almost all of them are due to the dogs being overweight and fed poor quality food.
I know your dogs beg you with those eyes and pester you for that treat, but we all need to get a little tougher and simply feed them less, because we are killing them with kindness. And no, they are not just fluffy or have a little extra 'muscle' 😉😂 I think I have heard every excuse under the sun 😂

🐾 Did you know you should only feed your dog once a day?

🐾 Did you know that the amount 'guide' on the back of the dry food is exactly that... A guide only and every dog is different and most are being fed way too much!

🐾 Did you know that if you give your dogs a bone or a treat then you should be taking this into account for the daily amount and lessening their dinner every more!

🐾 Did you know that even some of the best well known dry food brands are actually terrible!

It's also important to remember that our dogs can't eat all the same things we can so please take care at Christmas time. I have added a chart for this also.

Don't be fooled into buying cheap stocking fillers for your dogs. Most of them are rubbish and are really unhealthy for your pets. Stick with good quality brands from the pets store.

I have had a few people reach out to me and ask if I would start doing one on one private lessons on how to groom their dogs.

With the lack of groomers and constant cost increases, I think it's a brilliant idea to teach owners, so they are able to safely and confidently groom their own dogs in the comfort of home. Not only will this save people money in the long run but it will help to take some pressure off us groomers as we are becoming fewer and it's getting harder and harder for people to fit their dogs in.

I'm reaching out to you all to see if this is something you would personally be interested in or know someone that would be.

If I get enough interest I'll start offering these one on one lessons in the new year. 🐕🐾

Just a friendly reminder that with the weather starting to warm up, it is now time to make sure you are giving your dogs their tick and flea treatments.

Remember, tick and flea shampoo is not a preventative. This will only kill what's on the dog right then and there. Your fur kids will still require a tablet or liquid monthly/three monthly treatment, depending on the brand.

💜💜 CANCELLATION POLICY 💜💜

To all my amazing clients

Please know this is not personal to any single client. Just a reminder of my business policy to all

I have always had a policy when it comes to late cancellations, no-shows, and late payments. For the most part, everybody is fantastic, BUT lately, I have felt like I need to make things more transparent.
When you make an appointment with me:

✅ You get a text reminder 2 days prior and are simply required to text a yes or no response. Not replying at all does not give me an answer. You can always call or text me to reschedule when you receive your reminder (If I am late getting back to you, I would never charge you extra, just to be clear). I have no issue with you cancelling as long as it's within 48 hours, so I am able to fill your spot with another client.
✅ You receive a payment card with my bank details, the amount owing for the service, and your next appointment on the card every time I come to visit your fur babies.
✅I am very understanding and have previously sent out many reminder messages for payments to be made, sometimes up to a week late, without charging extra, even though it states on the payment card that payments are to be made same day of service, or a surcharge will be added.

💜 If you confirm your appointment and cancel on the day or don't show up, you will be required to pay the full cost of the service.
💜 If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the service.
💜 Everyone is on a 4 to 8 week schedule that continuously rotates over and my books are closed to new clients, however, if you are constantly cancelling your appointments time after time, unfortunately you will be removed from my books and your spot will be giving to someone else.
💜 If you fail to pay on the same day of the service, $5 will be added for every day that payment is late. Under certain circumstances, this may be wavered but will be assessed on a case by case basis.

I completely understand that things can happen sometimes!
People and dogs get sick, emergencies pop up, and we simply forget. We are only human, and it happens to everyone, myself included, as I have had to reschedule appointments on short notice too.
I always do my best to give you as much notice as possible when changes are made to an appointment because I respect your time and your dogs, so please be kind and respect my time, too. We all know how forgetful I can be, and I have always tried my hardest to make up for my own mistakes and take care of your fur kids.

Please know that this isn’t personal it is just business.

I'd also like to mention that If your dogs appointment is cancelled, by either myself or the client and I am unable to reschedule them, we may have to skip that appointment alltogether and wait for the next prescheduled rotation. Please know that if this happens, I have tried my hardest and seriously cannot fit them in, for which I am truly sorry.
If your fur baby can simply not live without that one missed bath or clip, then I'd happliy recommend trying to get them in with Tammy from Doggy Detailing - Local Dog Grooming at Westbury (She does bigger dogs) or Karen at Dogs Indulgence Grooming Salon - Clarence Point for smaller dogs as she is no longer able to do larger dogs.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Hello everyone, lately I have been finding a lot of ticks on my clients dogs that normally wouldn't have any.

I just wanted to make people aware that right now there are a lot around. The problem is they can be the size of a pin head and often go unnoticed.

I have been finding my clients dogs paws and legs covered in them! So I suggest you start here if you want to have a look for yourself. They will be tiny, tiny black and red dots on the skin.

The best way to deal with ticks is to give your dogs a tick tablet.
I recommend Simparica as this covers, Ticks and Fleas and comes in a 4 or 6 pack. You give one table per month and I find it to be very effective while also being a more affordable option. These can be found locally at Beaconsfield H Hardware, Nursery & Building Supplies

Or you can find other brands at
Exeter Farm & Feed or your local pet store.

In Tasmania we have one type of Ixodes tick which can cause paralysis. Though generally not as severe as their mainland sisters, they can still cause paralysis and ultimately death of your pet if left untreated.

I'm officially on HOLIDAYS!!!!
WOO HOO 🙌🎉

I'd just like to thank all my valued Clients and their dogs for supporting my small business and sticking with me. I really appreciate everyone so much.

This year has certainly had some ups and downs with me injuring myself more than once, so let's hope next year is injury free for me!! 😅

Thank you to all those who gave me a Christmas gift and card. It was very appreciated 😊

Little Zac had a full body clip today. He was a very sweet boy 🥰

Little Daisy had her first groom today. She was just the cutest 🤩 When introducing a puppy to grooming we have 0 expectations of achieving anything. We start with the bath and blow dry and then attempt to do clipping. Puppies have to learn to be groomed they are not born knowing what to do. So here is a video of her doing an amazing job being blow dried for the first time. We stated off on the table to do her back end and once I get to thier face I take the nozzle off the dryer, hold them in my lap to reassure them it ok. We then move on to see what clipping and scissoring we can get done. The safety of the puppy comes first, not the 'perfect groom'. Daisy was a super star with her first go and I was able to get a pretty good job done on her 🐾🥰

Daisy the Lab and Teddy the Spoodle. Daisy absolutely loved her pampering today and almost fell asleep in the bath ☺️ such a sweet heart.

I seriously have the best job ever 🥰

This is Damon the Alaskan Malamute and he is living up to his breed by screaming his head off in the bath 🤣🤣🤣 Damon wasn't happy about his bath today at all and made sure that everyone new he was trying to be murdered by the water, but it was all worth it in the end as he looked beautiful 🥰 Please note that no dogs were harmed in the making of this video, Alaskan Malamutes scream when being groomed and this is actually normal haha 😂 #alaskanmalamute #screaming #nothappyjan #tails2nailsmobiledoggrooming

The boys have out done themselves, my request was, and I quote.... "id like it lit up like an operating room" haha 😄 Electrician has signed me off and I now have power woo hoo! Now all that's left is for gas to be connected, sign writing, some new tiers, for me to fill the trailer will all my gear and I'll be on the road 😀 Stay turned everyone... getting very close now. 😬

My little mate Mutley in again today for his regular Grooming. He loves his bath, wears a happy hoodie for the drying process and has some help with the belly strap as standing is a bit hard these days, but he says it's all worth it because I look very handsome for my parents when I'm all finished 🥰🐾
