IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Hello everyone, lately I have been finding a lot of ticks on my clients dogs that normally wouldn't have any.

I just wanted to make people aware that right now there are a lot around. The problem is they can be the size of a pin head and often go unnoticed.

I have been finding my clients dogs paws and legs covered in them! So I suggest you start here if you want to have a look for yourself. They will be tiny, tiny black and red dots on the skin.

The best way to deal with ticks is to give your dogs a tick tablet.
I recommend Simparica as this covers, Ticks and Fleas and comes in a 4 or 6 pack. You give one table per month and I find it to be very effective while also being a more affordable option. These can be found locally at Beaconsfield H Hardware, Nursery & Building Supplies

Or you can find other brands at
Exeter Farm & Feed or your local pet store.

In Tasmania we have one type of Ixodes tick which can cause paralysis. Though generally not as severe as their mainland sisters, they can still cause paralysis and ultimately death of your pet if left untreated.

I'd just like to thank all my valued Clients and their dogs for supporting my small business and sticking with me. I really appreciate everyone so much.

This year has certainly had some ups and downs with me injuring myself more than once, so let's hope next year is injury free for me!! 😅

Thank you to all those who gave me a Christmas gift and card. It was very appreciated 😊

My work phone will now be turned off for my two week break. I'll be back on the 8th of January.

Hi everyone,

Just an update for you all.
Alot of people have been asking what happened and when I'll be returning to work.

Last Saturday I managed to sustain a serious concussion.
It was a bad one and I need to take it serious as its a brain injury and I'm still on the mend.

However, I will be returning to work tomorrow (Monday 4th) I am going to do my best and take things slowly.

This will mean, I might be running a little late to appointments and I also may need to cancel at the last minute if I'm not feeling well.

I really appreciate everyone's understanding at this time as I'm trying to do my best.

Unfortunately, I will be unable to groom your dogs this week. This is anyone with an appointment from the 27th of November to the 3rd of December.

I have sustained a major head injury and have spent the last two and a half days in the hospital.

I'm unable to reschedule anyone at this time as I am under strict instructions to rest and stay off my phone.

I will reach out to all of you and reschedule appointments when I am able. Please allow me a weeks grace.

I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but I am very unwell and need to put my health first.

After four years of trying to get back here, I finally visited Fair Dinkum Dogs - Castlemaine Vic today after traveling all the way to Chastlemaine from Tasmania and I was not disappointed!

We have some exciting news to share! Lure Coursing Tasmania's upcoming official trial is just around the corner, set for the 24th of September at Westbury Showgrounds. However, we're facing a challenge, as our entry numbers are currently quite low. To continue offering official trials to our dedicated members, we need all the support we can get!
But here's the great news - even if you can't make it to the official trial on the 24th, we have something special planned for you. On the 23rd of September at Westbury Showgrounds, we'll be hosting a normal lure coursing fun run, training and information day! It's the perfect opportunity to get involved and support our club.

Just a reminder for everyone.

I will be at Exeter Farm & Feed again tomorrow doing dog nails. Be sure to bring your pooches along. $10 per dog.

Also, Last time we had a line up. So please just be mindful and respect others dogs personal space. Not all dogs are friendly or want to be social.

Dog nails should be trimmed every two - four weeks depending on breed and how quickly they grow. So make sure you keep up with the regular visits and save the following dates in your diaries.

While you wait, Exeter Farm and Feed have an amazing treat wall display and so much more for your furry friends.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Firstly, I'd like to thank all my valued clients for supporting my small business as without you it wouldn't be possible.

Unfortunately I have reached a stage where I am now forced to close my books.
This means I will no longer be taking any new clients.

Anyone who is already on my books and has appointments pre booked are safe and secure.
Please be aware that all my regular clients are booked in for the whole 2024. So there are no appointments for the next two years!

If appointments do become available as sometimes I get cancellations I shall post them on my page.

I do however also have some exciting news for you all.
I am aware that the demand for dog groomers is growing and people are wanting mobile and having trouble getting in to a groomer.
Sooo....
I have purchased a second trailer and I'm currently working towards helping my trainee become ready to head out on her own.
We are hoping this will be achieved by Christmas. So once we have the new trailer on the road more appointments will be available again 😊

I'd also be very interested to hear from you if you are already a groomer or thinking about becoming a groomer and would like to come on board.

Beautiful Ammie. 😍

Ammie is a 15 year old white German Sheppard. She loves having her baths, but standing isn't an option for her anymore as it's simply too hard. So Ammie lays comfortably on the table while I dry her and usually has a snooze while I work away.

She is a beautiful old soul and I always look forward to seeing her 🥰

Maggie has been on such a journey with her grooming. I found a cut that worked for her mum and dad to be able to keep maintenance low, while still maintaining a stylish look for her breed.
Her gorgeous hair has finally grown out to a length that can be put into a ponytail. Isn't she looking just fabulous 😍

LURECOURSING COMING TO BRIGHTON , HOBART.
WHEN: Saturday 3rd June, 2023, 9.00am start.
WHERE: 9 Rodbourn road, Brighton

We will be running the experienced dogs first, so if you have done a few runs be there at 830- 900 and register. If your dog/pup is less experienced, first run or puppy please register mid morning. Of course all are welcome from start 900 to cheer our fellow members pups on. But if you want a sleep in, you can do that too. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. BBQ for lunch, drinks available. 🐕🐕❤🐕

Hi everyone, I need your help!

I have a trainee groomer coming aboard. I will be in need of a few dogs so I can teach her how to groom.

I am looking for three dogs for Friday the 9th of June, these groom's will be at a discounted price.

Please note conditions apply:

It would be a tremendous help if you could bare with us and be open for us to groom your dog as we see fit on the day so I can show her as many techniques as possible.

It will also help me out greatly if you can drop off and pick up your dog from my house at Beauty Point as I will not be mobile this day.

Ideally I'm looking for three long haired breeds, dogs that need clipping or double coated breeds.

Please comment below the breed of your dog and I will contact you in regards to time and price.
