Paddock name Vhagar, and she is doing swimmingly 🥰 Cassie has been an amazing mother, and loves her little girl so much.
That brings an end to a very up and down season.
Vhagar will be retained.

This little darling was born just after 1am, and is one of our darling Mulpemoh Charlie Buttons last foals.
First time mum Cassie foaled on her due date, and everything has been text book, taking to motherhood well and everyone meeting and passing their milestones with flying colours.
Cassie has been very fond of baby Jack, and Cassie has much preferred to have the company of Diamonds. The babies are already getting along so well.
The worst part, is that Sebastian and I won't get to meet her until she's a week old, as we are at Canberra Royal Show this week. Thank you to dad for being middle of the night midwife, and Mum for being nurse and keeping an eye on them both.
I'm so impressed with the temperament on this young man. He's SO bold and confident, so eager and willing to learn, so happy to be in your company.
This is only his second session being asked to lift legs, and he remembered and knew exactly what to do 💕 every baby works at their own pace, but he's just something else.
He must have been here before!
We are so heartbroken to share the news that we have had to say goodbye to our big, beautiful Buttons.
Following an incident with a fence, we decided the kindest course of action was to say goodbye whilst he was happy, healthy, and himself 🖤
We will be reminded of your hoofbeats every time we hear thunder. You are very sorely missed, big man. You always will be.
We are so thankful to have called you ours for a time, and seen you in all of your glory 🕊

Mum's break away catch rope has to stay on for monitoring for now, but she's becoming much more relaxed of people around Percy as she can see he is very confident around us.
Due to an emergency vet visit for our dog, Griffin is now offered HEAVILY reduced.

This young guy could be your mister right!
Griffin is expected to mature 15.2hh - 16.1hh and will excel in dressage, jumping, and eventing.
This boy was bred to MOVE, and boy does he, he is also very clever and loves to learn.
Both his sire and dam pass on a beautiful nature to their foals, and Griffin is no exception. He would live inside with you if you let him, but is not overly pushy or bold either.
His older siblings from both sire and dam have been to pony club with children and have taken well to all their training. Older siblings have also done trail riding, and adult riders, dressage, jumping, trail riding, obstacles, swimming at the beach, ridden by beginner to experienced riders, etc.
He has big, floating, ground covering movement and a natural elevation to himself. He's definitely got "look at me".
Cannot wait to see him when he comes through his weedy youngster phase and really fills out and grows up.
Griffin comes with basic handling, and can be gelded before leaving. Griffin can be caught, leads, ties, can have his feet done, and will be taught to load.
Griffin does have a small scar on his knee, this injury was skin deep, and he was never sore, lame, or moving differently on his leg. Being on his black points we expect it will be barely noticeable as he grows.

We are SO EXCITED to announce the arrival of Fairfield's first purebred connemara foal, Percy.
Born at Gracefield Park this morning in the pouring rain, sired by their lovely stallion Tralee Little Piper.
Our girl Hermione is a bit of a nervous first time mum, but is absolutely brilliant with her little boy.
Can't wait to see him un-fold and fill out 🥰
We are delighted to say that our darling young Sugarplum has found her new home 🥰

Dinner time is the perfect time to play the halter game.
I pinch some feed and place it in my hand and the hold the halter between my hand and the babies' noses. They have to interact with the halter as they nibble at their feed. As their confidence grows, I move the halter so they have more and more of their nose in, my hand comes around the neck with the strap, and eventually the buckle can be done up.
Some foals can do this in one session, some foals need several, it depends on their confidence and how much they like snacks!
I love doing this with the foals, as it builds a positive association with their halter, and gets their little minds working. Plus means the mamas get some peace at dinner time as well 🤣

Born 10:34pm last night, so yes we did get two in one day after all!!
Hit all of his milestones in good time, has some big long legs to unscrunch and figure out. Muma Diamonds needed some assistance with the birth, thanks to our Smart Foal Alarm again I was right there as soon as she lay down even though I'd checked her not long before.
She then retained her placenta so had us up all night again anyway 🙈
Both now doing absolutely fantastically. What a wonderful mother she is being too 🥰

Savannah won the baby race!
Little "Savannah '23" a black spotty filly, arrived at 1:35am with a tiny bit of assistance. One of her legs was slightly back so I assisted with the shoulder.
Filly was up and about within half an hour, took some persistence to get her onto the milkbar, but passed all milestones easily and within ideal timeframes.
Lots of un-scrunching to do! Savannah is a brilliant and very vocal mother. She absolutely adores her little girl 🥰
Thankful for our Smart Foal foaling alarm, that got me up right as I tried to get some sleep between checks.

Savannah (chestnut) and Diamonds (grey) have both developed wax at the same time, and are both showing all signs to the same degree at the same times. They're both due any day, and are two days apart in gestation.
Both in with their Smart Foal alarms on. Under a very close eye even in the storm lol ⛈⛈
Savannah is on a breeding lease, in foal to an outside stallion for a client. Diamonds is a connemara in foal to our boy Roscommon The Artful Dodger.
Dental day for the wild stallion ;) Spider was happy to leave his serving paddock and hang out to have his teeth seen to.
Benita’s Equine Dentistry Services always takes such good care of our horses.

Left on Friday afternoon, and returned on Sunday evening as we had horses competing in the open rings as well. She's become an excellent camper, hanging out without complaint in her stall and not minding having to wait around for classes and friends.
She is such a darling little filly! She was a challenging start, and likes things to be done her way, but how worth it all she is (show results or none, we are just in love!) 🥰

Bridie is a purebred connemara by Roscommon The Artful Dodger, who is available with us for stud duties.

He is such a gentle and affectionate man, and we've fallen so in love with him and the first foal he's given us.

She is so relaxed in the environment these days, and didn't worry about her friends coming and going, or having to go back to the ring by herself for Supreme.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again but I cannot get over the way this young pony has bonded, and developed through our connection.

So proud of our nearly one year old filly Asham Orla!
Attending Colac Show, her first outing since the foal show, and you'd have thought she'd done it a hundred times before. She stood quietly ring side, worked out beautifully, and was a pleasure to have and be around.
Orla received some lovely feedback from her judge, who like us can't wait to see her continue to mature, and came home with some good placings and some fantastic experience!

Little Dart learning to be caught and wear his halter, this is his second time ever having a halter put on his face. This cheeky boy really loves to bite my puffer jacket, so avoiding that was rather funny. As you can see he is such a confident and friendly foal. Yesterday spent a couple of hours wearing his halter with a little drop rope and I popped out here and there to introduce some leading. He actually LOVED to use his brain and think on it, he's very switched on this young man. In the afternoon he even had a sleep in my lap, and fell so fast asleep that he was dreaming! He is going to make a new family very very happy one day!
Fairfield d'Artagnan We have a name, Dart! Because all he has done all day is dart around, dart away from mum, dart back to mum, dart after the dogs, and start to master those beautiful long legs. He's going to keep mum on her toes 🥰
