I made this mistake too!
Rosie’s (my 12 year old Wire-haired Vizsla-who’s now an angel 😇 ) final Parkrun ended with me dragging her across the finish line. I knew that day was her last 5k run.
Long, exhausting walks can do more harm than good.
Instead, I limited her to short, frequent walks—like 10-minute strolls several times a day. 🐾
This helps:
✅ Loosen muscles & joints 🦴
✅ Gently stretch & keep mobility 💪
✅ Stimulate the body to break down inflammation 🔥
✅ Prevent overexertion & fatigue 💤
We want to keep our senior dogs moving without exhaustion, followed by plenty of rest. 🐕❤️
It can even be as simple as a few laps around the house…especially on the hot days 🥵

Super easy Valentine’s recipe for your dog 🐶 from Veterinarian Dr. Jacqui.
Love Bites Frozen Treats ❤️
Ingredients:
• ½ cup plain Greek yoghurt
• ¼ cup mashed strawberries
• 1 tbsp unsweetened peanut butter
Instructions:
1. Blend everything until smooth (I left my strawberries chunky & Posh loved it) 🍓
2. Pour into heart-shaped silicone moulds.
3. Freeze for 2-3 hours and serve 🐾
