Hi everyone. Just wanted to give a quick update. Have the big house move coming up this week then unpacking etc. Once that’s all done my first priority is to get the new salon sorted. We are unsure as yet whether we will build inside our existing shed or get a transportable but will keep all my clients updated. Thank you for your patience. 🙂 we hope you have a lovely week.

Warning!!! Cute Puppy spam. My friend brought her Irish doodle Tully in for a puppy maintenance. What a little wriggle pot he was but it’s to be expected from pups. His cuteness made up for all his wriggles. 😂😂😂. With loads of positive reinforcement and treats he did really well. Plus Tully and my Harley had to say hi to eachother of course.

Mister jhett. What a beautiful old soul. Came in for a wash and blow dry. Loves the hair dryer. His mumma was is a fellow ex vet nurse. Lovely lady. Such a lovely story how she ended up with the Jhett. Stories like hers make me appreciate animals so much more. No matter what. A dog always loves you. Human beings on the other hand…. Just happy I get to work with gorgeous pooches like Jhett.

Hey everyone Just a short post to let you all know we will be moving early to mid June. We unfortunately won’t be taking any new bookings until we set up in the new place which will be second to none . We are not moving far and will still be in Beeliar. Thinking we will have an opening day bbq where all clients and fur babies can see the new improved home of impeccable grooming x

My regular girls are in for their fortnightly wash and fluff dry. Such lovely soft balls of fluff.

I used to dog sit these girls and they just love coming to see me which is sooo nice. Poppy gets excited when her mummy turns into our street.

Bowie, what can I say except he’s a groomers dream!!! Such a good boy, loves being dried and when doing his face he was falling asleep 😂😂. Such a precious pooch. I really love working with dogs. They give me such joy. 🤩

Keep your pooches safe.

There has now been a diagnosed case of parvovirus South of the River in the Hammond Park area!

Please be rest assured that our clinic is using gold standard disinfection protocols for the virus.

Symptoms of Parvovirus typically include but are not limited to:

- Lethargy / change in energy level
- Loss of appetite or not wanting to eat
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea (blood in stool may be present)
- Rapid weight loss
- Fever

Please be aware that adult dogs that have been previously vaccinated should be protected against this virus, however they can still catch it and develop mild symptoms.

The virus is transmitted through contact with infected dogs, contact with stools from an infected dog or through virus-contaminated surfaces. Please make sure your dogs are up to date with vaccinations by checking in with your vets and if they are not - please make sure they are fully vaccinated.

There is no known cure for this virus in Australia - and treatment involves intensive supportive care and 24/7 monitoring, treatment of clinical symptoms and secondary bacterial infections. A patient with parvovirus will shed the virus into the environment for 4-6 weeks even after infection.

Here are some measures to prevent infection:

- Keep your dog away from other dogs’ faeces.
- Routinely collect and properly dispose of your dog’s faeces.
- If you’ve been in contact with dogs with or exposed to parvovirus, avoid handling other dogs, or wash your hands and change your clothes before doing so.

Please seek veterinary attention if you are concerned. If your puppy or dogs is suspicious for parvovirus - we may recommend testing for the virus before you enter the clinic. Feel free to contact us if you require any advice or information.

Beautiful Phoebe came in for a tidy up groom. Did pretty well for her first time at groomers. Very proud of her. Big shout out to her mum Tammy that put in the hard work at home brushing her, and getting her used to nail clipping, feet tidying etc. It is so important to desensitise your pups and get them used to being handled so when it comes time to get them groomed they are a lot more chilled out. If you need any advice on how to do this at home feel free to pm me 😉.

A week of the oldies but goodies. 15 year old whiskey came in for a groom today. Owner wanted him short all over, was a challenge as he has arthritis and didn’t want to stand but we managed most of it with him laying down. Also used a hammock which is a great tool for older dogs as it minimises me needing to my his legs and hips in certain positions that might make him uncomfortable. He was such a good old fella, I recon he looks like a pup after his groom. And those eyes…..sooo adorable. 😍

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Daisy to give her a haircut. 16 years young she still has loads of energy and zest for life. She’s a sweetheart and a character that’s for sure. 😍 I’ll look forward to seeing her again for her next groom.

Hi everyone.

I’d just like to mention the horrific video released on 7 News last night of a southern suburbs groomer abusing a little white dog. It made me feel sick to my stomach.

While watching this footage would make every dog owner understandably feel hesitant to take their pooches to a groomer please and feel reassured that your furbabies will only get the best of care with me.

If you still have any doubts please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have in regards to your pooches grooming/bathing procedure as I’m only too happy to put your minds at ease.

Dogs are part of the family and I will always treat them with love, kindness, patience and respect. ###

Today I had beautiful Halo come in for a deshed. It was her first deshed ever. I couldn’t believe it because she was soo well behaved.

This process helps to maintain the health and appearance of a dog's coat, reduce shedding, and prevent matting and tangles. De-shedding is important for dogs with thick or double coats, as it helps to remove the undercoat, which is the source of most shedding. It also helps the skin to breathe and pooches feel so much happier and lighter afterwards.
