These Guys are 8 weeks old today π₯³πππ
Itβs going to be hard to say goodbye to these little fellas π₯Ή Like itβs sad for every litter. They are incredibly smart and attentive and like every pup incredibly squishy and cute with a gorgeous temperament. This breed are little rippers I hope all of the new owners keep in touch because we love our pupdates!
Each of these little beans will be an integral part of their new home, I know my girl Frankie is the whole package! She Loves to swim, kayak, retrieve any type of ball, go for a car ride, hunt out a scent, cuddle on the couch and watch tv! And just be by my side.
She is an amazing dog and just simply stunning to look at when I havenβt given her the Michael Bolton hair cut π

PUPPY JOINT GROWTH
8/10 week old puppiesβ bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.
When they are run excessively or don't restrict exercise to stop them from overdoing it, or jumping from and climbing high places during this period they arenβt given the chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.
But when the pup jumps up and down off the lounge or bed or out the back of the car, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When a puppy scrambles on tile with no traction they are damaging their joint.
You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from selective breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one. The bedding and environment for growing pups is essential, no slippery floors, bedding must have traction ect from day one when they are born this is a priority this is why we grow our pups out on a farm as natural environment as possible and their bedding is soft but the pups have traction.
We include information in the puppy packs about exercise times by age, to help new owners in the first weeks of puppyhood.

storm anxiety can be hiding, whining, scratching, slobbering or sheer panic & shaking. No worries. Your dog may be displaying symptoms of dog storm anxiety. Dogs cannot express their fears in words, and so must communicate in body language that might be difficult for their owners to translate.
Some things we have done for our old gal Milly is buy her a calming bed. She feels like she can hide in and itβs soft and cuddly.
Other tips could be putting white noise on, giving your pooch a safe quiet place to go, being calm and reassuring. Make sure your gates are locked and your pet canβt escape.

Frankie has the sharpest nose on the property and a very strange infactuation with magpies π€ π¦ She is so incredibly clever and loud. Frank loves to be centre of attention and can be quite the chatty kathy (especially when she is told βI love youβ). Her competitive streak comes out when toys come between her and her big sis Daisyβ¦. In her mind she is the bigger doggo πΆ we think itβs called βsmall dog syndromeβ.
