TILLY [Firm as a Rock]
race 7 - no 14

The ol’ horse whisperer Graham went to work on Timmy…
gobsmacked and disappointed by his Kerang performance, Graham tried a few things and bang….. Timmy comes out and brains a couple of of the Maher runners in a jump out this morning.
If he maintains that - almost a certainty at Benalla where he travels with Tilly [Firm as. A Rock] this Sunday 19th Jan.
Both should be good chances, even though we have not seen fields yet
This morning I followed around Firm as a rock just to show you what a normal day of training looks like!
Some photos and vids from today….. great experience to see Tilly run around at Flemington, all owners feeling happy and motivated by the future of our young homebred horses coming into the stable.
Update on our newest foal from Michael Christian [breeder/owner of Bella Nipotina] - Longwood Thoroughbred Farm.
Probably the best horse [on pedigree] that we have ever bred by HANSEATIC at Anthony Mitten’s Rosemont Stud.
The colt is only 6 weeks old and already has interest, so is likely to to the Inglis weanling sale, if he does not get top dollar, will stay with us and race in the Navy, Tangerine and White colours of our home bred.
Good commentary from Chrisso who is often maligned in the press for his role at AFL as Match review officer, he is a great bloke and loyal mate…. Great to have him as part of the fabric of our team.
To quote Emma….
PANG goes BANG at WANG
Young apprentice Christopher Pang rode Tilly to perfection at Wangaratta…. A great win by Tilly today
Our first foal first the year - a giant filly born yesterday in the Hunter Valley.
# The farm is calling her Gigantasaurus
Related to recent Sydney stakes winners SWIFTFALCON [also favourite for this weeks g2 Gloaming stakes].
In fact both dams [mums] are 1/2 sisters
Bubba [NORWEGIAN SPIRIT] enjoying a roll in the sand and long gazes at the sunrise…..
He and Tilly will be ready to race at Tatura on Tuesday 1st October.
Poor Tilly - 2 weeks in a row she has been stuck behind a wall of horses and had no momentum when she got clear.
A great effort to finish on strong for 4th/5th in a tight finish
The next runner to start track work is little filly GINGER - her first week on the track… we just need her to grow !
She will wear the cerise/yellow colours - the same as Tilly [FIRM AS A ROCK].
