PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT
We've been informed that our practice of putting chocolate into Auntie Kate's chook food over Easter might lead to an outbreak of Early April disease in poultry.
This disease generally comes on around Easter time and is due to over consumption of chocolate.
Symptoms include colored eggs being laid and chickens walking 'like a bunny'.
At this point we are not considering a product recall but would urge caution over feeding chocolate to chooks.
If you are feeding scraps and have a choice of chocolate or apple and cinnamon hot cross buns - go with apple...
Please note this a precautionary message.
Today your birds are particularly at risk but note the symptoms only last 24 hours.
Thank you for your attention and please pass it on and share this vital health information.

Why are bird eggs different colors?
Scientists aren't sure. Camoflague?
To attract mates? To deter cuckoos?
Did you know shell color is made up from a mix of blue and brown pigments?

It’s still not known exactly how female birds produce such colourful and intricately-patterned eggs. But we do have some theories about the survival advantage this provides.

Electricity. We are looking at finding a carbon neutral supplier in our bid to become carbon neutral this year. Our electric forks are using some juice so we need to make our grid power emissions free... the panels don;t do all the work!
looks good - offset all emissions plus options


All the prices seem on par or cheaper than the big coal retailers so only question is .... which one?
Anyone have any experience with these companies?
Time to switch... check 'em out👍

As moves to being a -neutral business this year we are looking at ways farmers can reduce their on farm emissions.
Yesterday we learnt the scientists at CSIRO are working hard on technology to transform many industrial systems to hydrogen.
Farmers could one day soon be able to use on farm renewable energy to produce hydrogen to run their equipment and ammonia fertiliser. These are the two key emission sources in cropping and would pave the way to zero emissions crop production.
Heavy transport such as the trucks that deliver your stockfeed are very likely to be hydrogen soon.

We are going neutral in 2021 so just converted from to lithum-ion electric forks.
Little did we realise how cheap they are to run.
Powered by we will save thousands this year on gas and maintenance.
