Yesterday, we said goodbye to the last of our kids from the 2024 season, who joined his new home together with his Mum. These two are just the sweetest pair. 🥹 We know they’ll be very spoilt and cared for by their lovely new family. 💕

Good morning, and happy (very belated) new year! 😊 We here, have enjoyed a lovely, long break over the festive season and are charged back up, ready for another jam-packed year. May 2025 bring lots of goatie fun and happiness to us all! 😉

Early morning feeding as we prepare for yet another scorching (45 degree) day! 🥵 A lot less activity in the paddocks these past days and I’m sure the goats will (as will we) be breathing a sigh of relief tomorrow when the cooler weather returns. 🙌

Our final kids of the season have arrived!! A beautiful set of 81.25% twins for maiden doe Becky. A beautiful agouti doeling 🩷 and a solid little buckling 💙. They are just the sweetest, like their Mum. 🥰

I’ve been nervously awaiting kidding time for our Lilli, as she’s one of our smaller does. The day before her due date I could tell she wasn’t far away given the size of her udder. By that afternoon I went to check on her and there she was behind the rock pile, with a beautiful, chunky baby boy at foot. Already cleaned off and mostly dry. I didn’t hear a peep! Well done Mumma. 🥰

Luina had a baby girl! This little angel was born a handful of days ago and hit the ground ready for action, on her feet in seconds and latched on for a drink in record speed. It was the perfect arrival. Sadly, her sibling wasn’t as fortunate and Luina was admitted for an emergency c-section. The little boy wasn’t able to be saved, but we’re so very thankful that Luina is ok and recovering well. 💕 A special thanks to our lovely friend, and fellow goat breeder, Karen for having bub and I over for a late night visit while we waited for the surgery to be completed. ❤️

A fantastic day was had at the Gidgegannup Ag Show yesterday, with five NPGAA studs taking part in the Pygmy Goat judged show. Great fun with a lovely group of people. 😊 Our goats did us proud and we’re over the moon with the places they received. Admittedly, our main aim for the day was having our girls walk well on the lead! 😆 A big thanks also to our judge, Petrina, for her concise and constructive feedback.

We’re at the show! Pygmy goat judging will shortly be taking place at the goat shed, so come on down and see us and our friends. Once the showing is finished, the Pygmy section will be open for everyone to come through for a closer look. 😊

It’s SHOW TIME again!! 🎡🍭🐐 Come and see some Pygmy cuteness this Saturday at The Gidge Agricultural Show! We’ll be joined with some of our fellow W.A. Pygmy breeders and we’re expecting a fun (and entertaining!) day of showing. We’d love to see you there! 😁

We’ve been a bit busy of late, and haven’t yet shared Goldie’s news! She’s welcomed a beautiful, little, snow white doeling to the herd. ❄️🥰 Goldie’s doing an amazing job as a first time Mum, and bub is just precious.
There was once a time (Pre-Pygmy breeding days), where the colour white dominated many paddocks of Aussie mini goat breeders across W.A. We were all very excited to infuse some colour with the Pygmy genetics, and while I adore the black/ grey agouti, I’m also excited to have a little white again. 😊

It’s getting quite soggy here on the farm with all the recent rain!! Not that the kids seem to care… it’s just another day of playing for them! 😁🥰

Well, that’s one way to eat. 🤷‍♀️😆 A solo dining experience.

And once the little cherubs have finished their muesli, they are let back into their main pen where chaff and hay await, to munch on for the rest of the day. Oh, to be waited on! 😆 I appreciate the little thanks I get on the way back in. 💕

Now, that’s a more civilised way of feeding! For me anyway. 😆 I finally set up an area where I can place out breakfast for the goats, and let them in once it’s ready, rather than have them all under my feet the whole time. 😁 Just need to fix the gate so it swings both ways! #alittlebitsquishy
