We purchased this horse 4 months ago.
We didn’t race him for the first 3 months.
Our first race with him was about 4 weeks ago!
We haven’t got back to the races as soon as we hoped due to the weather. But our first race with this horse he came 1st, and showed massive improvement.
Tonight he was so close to another win in our second race with him!
Coming 2nd tonight.

Very exciting future for us with him.
He’s a big gentle giant, he’s still got plenty of improvement to come.
He’s definitely loving the extra attention we provide!
Wade and I do as much as we can. Wades training, horsemanship and shoeing, (he was dropped at least 3 shoe sizes)! I’m more into nutrition, health and well-being. As a race horse they are an athlete and do not go without!
Man Mountain known to us as Kong has been shod 4 times, had his teeth done twice. I am very confident he had a broken jaw, he’s had 2 x chiro treatments, many PEMF and Cyclonic Massage sessions thanks to my Animal Therapeutics Rug!
He gets endless supplements and especially Poseidon products Digestive EQ and Digestive VM, the occasional Stress Paste!

It’s been a long slow year for us!

Wade tore his Achilles’ tendon when we had Blaze Edition at his top form. 2 days after the injury Nevy Won with a personal best time.
He was then spelled, then we decided to push through winter (wrong decision) so many days off working horses due to weather. Then we nearly had him race fit and we all come down with Covid.
Then we nearly had him race fit and Nevy went off his feed and wasn’t right. Bloods came back that he was fighting something but was on the improve.
Close to 2 months on he’s finally back.
Pics of last night before going to the races at Bathurst where he put in a good run and came home with a 2nd!
After all we have been through we are very happy with his performance and finally feel like we are working horses for a reason!
Here’s to more races to come and have some fun again with the horses!

Looking at taking on a couple of extra breakers.
Wade is very experienced in breaking horses to harness. And often gets more problem horses going and pacing right.
Claire is more experienced in riding horses and other natural horsemanship techniques.
Often Claire does most of the ground work and Wade does the driving.
We are able to take on a couple of extra horses now the days are a bit longer.

Breaking includes, dental work and shoeing, broken to harness and hobbles, leading by a jogger and going on a walker.
Feeding is included.

As Claire does a lot of the work with the horses we aren’t really wanting anything to dangerous and crazy.

First hobble up for Claire’s favourite, Charlie!
He’s had 9 months off due to soundness issues.
He’s had more supplements than you can imagine.
Bowen, Electro Magnatic Pulse Therapy and the equine osteopath several times. Lots of r&r in the lush green paddocks.
But he’s looking amazing!
Fingers crossed this horse is right.
