Happy New Years everyone. 🤗😊

Firstly, I’d like to thank those who take the time to follow along, with what we are all about at Woodene Park and to all those lucky people who now own one of our beautiful kids…😊
We are currently lapping up time spent with our son (who’s in the Army) in Sunny QLD. A well deserved holiday and a long time coming…🏝️🌞
Secondly, we will begin working towards our 2025 program upon arrival at home and have some exciting news.
There will be kids available at various times of the year in 2025, but if you really really would like one of our kids😝😊, please reach out and contact me and we can chat about what specifically your aiming for…

Thirdly, I’d like to thank my wonderful parents and my daughter for looking after our stud of goats; our horses; our dogs and our chickens whilst away - just wouldn’t be possible for us to get away.😘😘😘

Our very first ever kid/s born here at Woodene Park; Mint Chip has just produced her very first kids for Penny at Rocky Forest Farm…two beautiful Doe kids💕💕
Super pleased to see the colour come through and classic Pygmy traits.
Her full sister Coconut is due to drop her kids any moment too🤗 Goodluck Penny😊

Around the farm today; big contrast in the weather today, after the preceding days being in the 40’s, to sprinkling and a beautiful “feels like” 19.9 degrees…

Jumped on the horse for a schooling session; took the dogs on a walk up the paddock to find a missing horse fly veil; and spent some time talking to the goats 😝😂
Now it’s ☕️ time…
Can’t believe it’s Xmas Eve. Losing track of the days - holidays 🙃🥰

Lead training for the youngest crew today; they all did so well. 🤗🥰
I really should have taken before and after videos though !!😜😂

We had tandrums, lie-downs, rearing but then….such smart kids, they all got what I was asking and it didn’t take long at all…so off for a walk we went…

Bridgetown Ag Show 2024 - displaying and educating the public on this beautiful breed.🤗😊

Lots of interest and questions.

Squiggles, Hazelnut and Dreamtime being the superstars that they are, were fabulously behaved.💞

Meelaya had a day out too and had just as many pats as the goats did. 😝

The day zoomed by and I was home to spend a few hours with our new kid on the block - buck, Victory.💙
He has now got a wether friend Riley Bear as his paddock mate.

All in all a great day at the show and always wonderful to share displays with Michelle and Greg from Eagleburra Pygmy Goats.

He’s here!!🤗 Kamali’i Sweet Victory - touch down!!

What an epic journey for this teeny, tiny, little fella…
Officially a West Australian! 🐐

I was absolutely blown away when I first laid eyes on Victory today - totally smitten!

He was such a good boy. Transferred into a fresh crate; met Meelaya the dog & put up with another 3 1/2 hours travel home…instant cuddles once in his paddock.

To Wendy Watts from Kamali’i Pygmy Goats for breeding such a stunner and allowing me to purchase Victory, to improve points within my herd; not to mention enduring the processes involved with Quaratine regulations bringing goats into WA. I’m in love with him already 💙🥰

To Featherandscale pet service - really easy peasy and no fuss, great to talk to over the phone.

To Christine Falconer for organising Lotties (WP Matilda’s Souvenir)new home; she will be living north of Perth with a wether friend and other pets. I can’t wait to hear how she goes.

To my dog 🐶 Meelaya - instrumental today at keeping both goats individual journeys calm.

To my partner in crime Graeme Doustfor allowing me to purchase yet another “f*^king goat”, but not just any goat, a Pygmy goat with oodles of presence😝

And to my fellow breeder Michelle Wrighton for all your encouragement and chats.

Now to watch him grow and most of all, love him..😊

Our new buck addition to continue to improve my herd.😊

I can’t thank Wendy enough from Kamali’i Pygmy Goats for breeding and allowing me to take on this quality buck.
I cannot wait to meet him🥰I’m so verrrry excited.

Anyone looking for a potential milking goat - just weaned from her kids and milking…
Very hard to part with Lamington as she was one of my first kids born here.
She’s super sweet and easy to handle as all my kids are 💕💕💕
But now focusing on my higher % Pygmy goats.

Forever changing colour is my 2 year old, 78% Chamoisee buck.
💙Vino Amore Prince Nicholas💙

His black mask and shoulder patterns darkening and extending, over time.
He has a wonderful calm temperament and his trial running with a couple of girls is going well, he is just chill. Don’t think he’s done the deed with them yet though.😝

Weaning time for Lamington, means milk time…🥛🐐
WP Lamington Delight is part Dairy breed, so she produces a lovely milking udder.
Lamington is adjusting to no kids today, whilst her kids are pretty well chill about it.
I spend a lot of time with her at this point; give her a day or two and she will be settled into her new rountine.

She’s such a sweet girl💕and a fabulous mother to her past triplets and this year Quads.

Her milk will be used in my soap making.

Lamington will be available to purchase sometime in 2025, after she’s had a good rest from kidding.
Otherwise, if someone wanted to take her on as a milking goat, then that could be a consideration in the very near future…just let me know.
