With her babies impending, Tuppence will be looking for a nice safe space to give birth. Dogs are naturally den animals, so we do our best to emulate this instinct with the whelping box. She’ll need lots of bedding to dig at, and to feel her babies will be warm, safe and contained. Some girls prefer a blanket over the top of the box to further reinforce that den instinct, making it darker and more contained, and helping them feel safe and secure. The countdown is on ❤️🐾
Our lovely Tuppence had her pre-whelp X-ray for final puppy count! Her Guardian joined us for this exciting experience today. Not long to go now 🤩 I can’t believe this is going to be my final litter! 🥲

I’m both excited and saddened to announce the impending arrival of Tuppence’s litter in early August, confirmed via ultrasound by our repro vet! Affectionately nicknamed the Tuppy Puppies already, this will be Tuppences first, but my last EVER litter of golden retrievers. This has been my passion for so long now, but it’s time to re-focus on my young human family now. 🩷 Thank you all for all of your support over the years.

My sweet babies 🐾 can’t believe they’re just over 5 weeks old now… it always flies by too quickly 🥲
Many of you have visited my home and asked me how I manage the fur from having so many goldies in my house. I’m always very quick to credit my trusty Dyson vacuum!! Unfortunately my vacuum head broke the other week, and I immediately panicked 😂 but Dyson came through for me and sent me out a whole new vacuum as the head for my now 4 year old model is on backorder!
I am SO EXCITED to vacuum today! I love Kmart as much as the next person but their vacuums really don’t hold a candle to the Dyson range when it comes to pet hair!! (But got us through Goldie Glitter-nado 2024) 😂
Finally getting some sunshine, we can start getting stuck into my toilet training protocol!!
⁉️ Did you know? I start training my puppies to go to the toilet on the grass as early as possible, which means they go home to you almost completely housebroken. Simply follow my go-home advice, and your puppy may not ever have an accident! How good is that 🤗

3 weeks old 🐾 weaning and starting solids ✅ starting my toilet training protocols ✅ exposure to new noises and objects ✅ a visit from a very special nana who gave Mr Benji some lubbins and brushed him out for me ❤️
These 5 were sleeping all lined up in a row… so I tried to line the rest up (who were sleeping elsewhere) safe to say it was unsuccessful and just resulted in waking everyone up 😂

Everyone’s growing so well, we graduated to bigger collars today so they’re bright and fresh and easy to see for a while 🫶🏻 can’t believe the kids are nearly a week old already!!
Catching some sun with mama on this chilly Tuesday! She’s so dedicated to her puppies (doesn’t want to leave them!) we really have to make sure Ellie is taking time for herself too! 😂

Getting puppy packs and info folders prepared for Gotcha Day!! I’m chronically disorganised and a paperwork procrastinator so this usually gets done the night before 🙈, I am proud of myself 🤣

Well this is it… the start of my last week with my pupups before they fly the coop next Tuesday!! 🥲 It’s so bittersweet; I’m so excited to share the joy with your new families my little loves but goodbyes are never easy! 🐾
6 weeks old 🐾 it’s been a crazy week here with illness hence the absence of photos recently. Not long left at all with my pup-pups now 🥲 but in more exciting news, I sent out everyone’s puppy allocations this morning!! Eeee 🤩🌼

✔️ starting toilet training (first step - potty trays in the whelping box)

Nearly 3 weeks old! Mumma is starting to wean us now so we have introduced puppy mush! Which is Blackhawk puppy biscuits soaked in boiling water, then blended up to a liquid consistency which is easy for them to lap. Over the next couple of weeks I will slowly firm this food up until they’re confidently eating dry biscuits!

Sweet babies 🩷 1 week old now, and everyone’s very close to double their birth weight! Swapped their newborn collars for bigger ones, which means it’s much easier to see who’s who (for now… until the floof grows in and swallows them 🤣). Also wobbly walking happening too!! Willow loves sharing her babies with her trusted humans, so the kids enjoy getting involved with handling the pups too.

3 weeks old 🐾 today we had our first taste of solid foods! Our toothie pegs erupted in the last 2 days so mumma is ready for us to have less time at the milk bar 🤣 Mr Brown and Mr Green especially loved it! 🔈 sound on for puppy munching noises!

Luna x Benji March litter - pregnancy CONFIRMED ✅ Approximately 3.5 weeks until pups. Watch the vid for a sneak peek. Luna’s little beans are about 7cm long already! As always a thanks to our reproductive specialist friends at Queensland Veterinary Specialists for overseeing our girls pregnancies. Back for a final head count X-ray a few days before her due date 🥰
