MEDICAL NOTE:

Sadly our beautiful Yoshi has hip dysplasia

AINB will fully support Yoshi through his treatment.

He will need a low-set home as well as daily supplements and pain relief.

We also have him booked in to do some hydrotherapy sessions

Once he is old enough, Yoshi can have an operation and this is something that we (AINB) will do a fundraiser to cover the cost of.

✨️It’s Chance here. I’ve been at foster mum’s for 5 months and here’s what she has to say about me.

– ” You’re such a good boy!” I hear it so often, I can’t help but beam with pride. I hear it when I take myself out the doggie door to do secret doggie business. I hear it when I let Mum know someone is approaching the driveway. I hear it when I stand patiently during bath time. I hear it when I lay quietly at Mum’s feet while she works. I hear it when I tease my foster sister out of her moods and convince her to do zoomies with me around the yard.

✨️I must have another doggie friend helps my confidence x

– She says “You’re so gorgeous” all the time! Yep, that’s me. I’m a lean 25kg Catahoula mix with beautiful markings. If you ask my Mum, she thinks the photos don’t do me justice.

– I must confess though, I am a scaredy cat. It takes me a little while to figure out if you’re friend or foe. But once I do, I’m your forever shadow. I will come when you call and won’t wonder too far away.

– Foster Mum says I will make a great companion for someone who is willing to teach me the world isn’t all that scary. And if that someone has a fur sister or brother too, oh that would be the dream.

– If you’re looking for love, loyalty with a splash of goofiness, I’m your Chance.

In denial about Monday's arrival.

Most people know that this boy is my own dog Ramone. Most don't know his history of being a badly abused dog. Ramone is 6 1/2 years. We have had him for 6 years. He came to us being a very untrustworthy dog of humans and would air nap at anyone who tried to get close to him. Even to this day nobody except for us and our friend Desrae can touch him. It has taken all this time to get him this far. To be able to be around people without him worrying about them. He will now hang around people and take food off them.
This post is about being consistent if you want to change behaviours. You have to put in effort to reap rewards. Changing your dogs behaviours can't be intermittent work. You can't say not today or it's too hard. To build your trust and relationship is worth the effort. Owning a dog is. Commitment. Owning a dog is knowing and understanding it won't always be easy. It is challenging. It can deflate you. It can make you feel like you vulnerable and often push owners to breaking point. Two steps forward and often a giant leap backwards. We need to understand our dogs limits and not push our dogs before they are ready. We can't place any expectations on our dogs unless you yourself have been 100% committed to the workload you have given. Our expectations are often way too high with minimum and intermittent work been done with our dogs. We need to work with our dogs not against them. Love what you have as a special part of your family ❤

Looking for a patient foster carer for Billy Big Ears

NEEDING A FOSTER CARER FOR BILLY BIG EARS WITH EXPERIENCE IN YOUNG DOGS

Billy Big Ears is just a big pup.
Maybe a German Shepherd mix aged around 14 months
He has come from a remote town, where they often fend for themselves looking for food & just live in survival mode!

Not part of a family, living in a community & being beaten up by other dogs. His body has many scars

So Billy has arrived in Brisbane & even though he is happy to be here he doesn’t realise so lucky he is to be alive !

He needs a patient carer, who will be assertive with him & teach him manners with kindness.

At the moment no other animals or young children, as he is still jumping which is easily corrected. This is a work in progress

He is sleeping in a garage at moment, with a coat on & loves his crate. Feeling safe & warm.

He will adjust to his new lifestyle but again it takes patience.

We supply food ,bedding, meds & of course support ❤️

He is vaccinated , wormed, clear of heartworm , microchipped & will be desexed in next coming weeks. Our vets are at Deception Bay, Bowen Hills, Ashgrove and Redlands.
