Is Your Dog Licking Their Paws? Hereโs Why!
Persistent paw licking can signal an underlying issue. Here are common reasons:
๐พAllergies: Food, pollen, mold, or cleaning products can cause itchy paws.
Injury or Pain: Cuts, splinters, or sores may lead to focused licking.
๐พParasites: Fleas, ticks, or mites can irritate the skin.
๐พInfections: Bacterial or fungal infections cause itching and discomfort.
๐พAnxiety or Boredom: Dogs lick to self-soothe; ensure they get exercise and mental stimulation.
๐พDermatitis: Irritants like chemicals or salt can cause skin issues.
If your dog is licking their paws excessively, it's time to consult with one of our vets.
Schedule an appointment today to get the right diagnosis and treatment. Your furry friend's health and happiness is our top priority! ๐ถโค๏ธ

Dogs have remarkable abilities to sense various aspects of human behaviour and physiology. Here are three amazing things they can detect:
1. Emotional State: Dogs are highly attuned to human emotions and can often sense when their owners are feeling sad, anxious, or stressed.
2. Health Conditions: Dogs possess an incredible sense of smell, which allows them to detect subtle changes in human body chemistry. They can sniff out certain health conditions, including hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) in people with diabetes, certain types of cancer, and even impending seizures.
3. Intentions and Trustworthiness: Dogs are adept at reading human body language and can often sense a person's intentions. They can pick up on cues such as posture, facial expressions, and vocal tone to gauge whether someone is friendly, trustworthy, or potentially threatening.
Overall, dogs' remarkable sensitivity to human emotions, health, and intentions underscores the unique bond between humans and their canine companions.
