Work Champion (Dogs Queensland Pending) ✨

SW CH WYSIWYG ITS A BREW TIFUL DAY

On Wednesday, Winnie and Steph achieved the final ANKC Ultimate qualification they needed to become the very first dog in Australia to have her Scent Work Ultimate and Scent Work Champion titles!

To achieve your Scent Work Champion title, you need your Scent Work Master title plus 5 qualifications in the newly introduced Ultimate class.

In Ultimate, the number of hides is unknown to the handler with the possibility of between 3 to 10 hides in a large area incorporating various elements.

Winnie and Steph achieved the 5 Qs required across 7 trials.

They found all of the hides in 6 of the 7 searches (timed out in one, oops!). Across the 7 searches, they found 52 hides and missed just 1 hide in total. Of the 5 qualifications, they finished 4 of them with the quickest time.

Congratulations Champions!!

It was a HUGE weekend for the Sniff Clubbers at the Dogs QLD State Scentwork Trial over the weekend!

Overall our 13 teams achieved:
🏆 3 first places
🥉 4 third places
⭐️ 39 Quallies

For some of these teams we are just one piece of their training puzzle, and others have begun and continued their training with SNIFF CLUB, either way we couldn’t be more proud!

NW3 Elite!

On Sunday Lisa & Bosley were one of two teams to become the first to qualify for NW3 Elite in Australia (an honour they share with Cass & V***n from ).

To qualify, a team has to earn three NW3 titles and show competency across all four elements (interior, exterior, vehicles, containers).

Even just one NW3 title is no small feat, with teams working across all elements in 6 searches, each with unknown number of hides (0-3). To achieve the title in full, no errors can be made all day. Another way to title is to achieve qualifying scores in two attempts, which allows for one error each day.

With two full titles and two qualifying scores Lisa and Boz brought it home, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Thank you to for hosting and for all the guidance and support at this level! And of course a huge thank you to the hosts, certifying officials and volunteers!
