Somehow Christmas is around the corner once again! Northgate Vet Surgery will be closed over the Christmas break this year from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day. We will be back from Friday, 2nd January 2026.

We ask you to check you have food and medication requests in by December 12th to ensure we have it to you before our Christmas Closure.

The holiday season festivities have begun!
Both our clinics - Northgate Vet & St Vincents Vets - celebrated in style last weekend 💃 🕺
It was lovely to step out of our scrubs and celebrate what a year 2025 has been.
While we’ll still be open in the lead up to Christmas, we’d like to take a moment to thank you for your support this year. We love caring for your pets and look forward to doing so in the new year too!

Off on holidays for Christmas Break this year?
So are we!

If your cat or dog is staying in kennels over the Christmas holidays and you need a vaccination certificate, please contact us early to ensure you receive it before you go.

We are often very busy during the holiday season, so it can take a couple of business days for certificates to be sent.

Our last day of operations this year will be December 23rd. We will be closed from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day inclusive, with our doors open again from January 2nd, 2026.

With this in mind, it’s helpful for you to know how long it takes for medication orders to be ready for collection. While routine medications take 1-2 business days, some take 5-7 business days.

Help us keep your furry family member’s medication on track by requesting repeats before you run out. Don’t wait until the last dose! 💊

We have had an unwell and distressed cat brought into our care this evening. They are a silver female shorthair registered under the name ‘Twitch’ on their microchip. They were found in Wavell Heights. We are trying to locate their owner.
