Today, we’re shining a light on our incredible nursing and technician team — the heart of our clinic. Their compassion, skill, and dedication keep our patients healthy and our days running smoothly.

Today also marks World Mental Health Day, reminding us how important it is to care for ourselves and each other — just as we care for every pet that comes through our doors. 💬💚

Let’s take a moment to thank our amazing nurses and techs, like Holly, for the care they show every single day (like giving Louie here some extra love during his vaccines!) — and to remind everyone that kindness and support go a long way, both in and out of the clinic. 🌿✨

With this in mind, it’s helpful for you to know how long it takes for medication orders to be ready for collection. While routine medications take 1-2 business days, some take 5-7 business days.

Help us keep your furry family member’s medication on track by requesting repeats before you run out. Don’t wait until the last dose! 💊

We have had an unwell and distressed cat brought into our care this evening. They are a silver female shorthair registered under the name ‘Twitch’ on their microchip. They were found in Wavell Heights. We are trying to locate their owner.

This sweet little lady came in for surgery to remove a mammary tumour — and she was so brave! 💛 Her socks kept her warm & cosy (& trendy) before, during and after her procedure.

We're sending lots of healing vibes her way as she recovers. It’s always a pleasure caring for our smallest (but mightiest!) patients. 💪🐶

Our team mascot, Halo, taking it easy yesterday on R U OK? Day 💛🖤💛

We’d like to take a moment to thank our teams at Northgate Vet and St Vincents Vets for the incredible compassion, resilience and dedication they share and extend to both the animals and people they work with every day.

Working in the veterinary industry can be so rewarding in the same moments that it can also be incredibly demanding. A little kindness goes a long way.

While yesterday was a wonderful opportunity to check in with those you know, a gentle reminder to check back in with those around you and keep the conversation going.

A simple question, the time to listen with an open mind and encouraging support can make such a difference to those we know and care about 💛

Meet Brian, our gentle giant schnauzer who came in for his castration — weighing in at a whopping 38kg! 🐾💪

Fun fact: Giant Schnauzers were originally bred in Germany to drive cattle from farm to market. Later, during WWI and WWII, their brains and brawn made them excellent military and police dogs.

From cattle driver ➡️ soldier ➡️ loyal family companion… and now, one very brave patient at our clinic. 💙
