So proud of my girls across the country over the weekend. In Western Australia Dee Scarrott and Ember had fabulous weekend with BOB and a group placement on Saturday and onto a Group 1 and Australian bred in show last night. Here in Brisbane Tia was best of breed and intermediate in group shortlisted for best in group Friday and Saturday and Isla was runner up to her big sister. Proud ADVANCE AMBASSADORS

We spent three lovely weeks in the USA, travelling around the south western states and visiting the great Dane club of America national specialty in Santa Fe New Mexico. While we were away our great Nonna Barbie celebrated her 10th birthday. Currently we have four generations living here at Riesenhaft . Happy belated 10th birthday Barbie.

A very long and hot day today at Durack. We only entered todays shows as we depart for the USA on Monday. The girls didn’t disappoint with Isla. The golden girl winning best of breed at both shows second show she was shortlisted for Best in  group and went onto junior in group Tia the tiger a.k.a. big bird was runner-up best of breed at both shows to her little sister and took out intermediate in group at the first show, we were knocked out by the runner-up best in show winner tonight so home and a bit of a sleep in tomorrow morning.

Isla had decided to come into season, so Norman had to spend the day at home much to his disgust.

Thanks to Narelle Adams for the cute picture of the girls waiting to go in for their respective groups.

Now before anyone says anything, this particular judge asked Philip to hold the ears up. It’s not something we usually do in the ring, unless we are asked.

Beautiful Tia, will be bred in early 2024 we have an exciting frozen semen breeding planned for her. We are very excited for this upcoming breeding.

Great weekend at Durack We showed at all four shows where Riesenhaft Danes again dominated the breed taking BOB and all available dog and bitch challenges. Todays shows under Canadian judge Mrs J McVieigh Tia was best breed and shortlisted for best in group in a cracking lineup. Show two under Mr N McGreevy. Tia again was best of breed and Norman was junior in group. Elliott came along to play and handled Isla today. Res CC to Tia

While I had a lovely time judging for the Welsh Corgi Club of Queensland Phil and Bianca piloted our very young Dane team at the GDSQ Specialty. It was the girls time to shine in an excellent entry at the championship show. We dominated the b$tch entry with TIA CH RIESENHAFT HOLD ON TO YOUR TIARA AI going b itch CC AND ruBIS Isla CH RIESENHAFT A KNIGHTS KISS AI was RES CC Honey CH NCH RIESENHAFT ITS IN HIS KISS NBIS.

A big thank you to the Corgi exhibitors with a lovely strong entry and sportsmanship. It was lovely just after judging to wander back and watch my girls success. Some beautiful comments from the judge who donated a gorgeous Dane pin thank you Debmalya Seal and our judge Gauri Nargolkar from India.

My Danes this year have been awarded top honours from breed specialist judges this year from Europe, USA and India. It was nice to receive some lovely comments on our youngsters from other Dane folk, thank you for your kindness . Official photos to follow.

While I had a weekend at home Dee Scarrott in WA did us proud with Ember . Today she gained her last 1 point to be known as CH RIESENHAFT QUEEN OF HEARTS AI Dogs WA pending. Ember is the third champion from Castle x Honey litter. Finishing at 12 months of age . So thrilled with this litter! Great work Dee also winning another class in group !

We have a one year old fawn male looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. Family situation has changed. He is located in central Victoria . He gets along with children and other dogs. He is very active and would benefit from ongoing training . Please message me for further details . He is not for breeding and will need to be desexed.

Just did the one day at Brookfield Show with the Danes as Phil only got home last night. We had a lovely day with Bianca and Corey and got to watch Bianca’s new Pom Charm have another successful day on her Brisbane weekend debut. I will leave it to B to post her results . Isla at 11 months Riesenhaft A Knights Kiss AI is now just 3 points short of her title going on to JUNIOR IN SHOW under judges J Burgess and L Brand NSW . Also in WA Dee Scarrott and Ember Riesenhaft Queen Of Hearts AI is now a whisker away from her title With BOB RUBOB and three JUNIOR IN GROUPS this weekend.

Brookfield show is always enjoyable and Ulla Greenwood and her team do a fabulous job. Great show to interact with the public and promote pure bred dogs. The fruit trays for in show awards were just fabulous . And many thanks to Advance for your ongoing sponsorship.

We only did two shows with the girls from the Autumn Western Suburbs cluster.

Isla won 21 points over the weekend taking her to a whisker away from her championship. Just turned 11 months and we have only shown lightly so far this year.

Honey attended Sprint Dog Friday night. She took off like a bull at a gate. Unfortunately when she saw me she stopped dead in her tracks and never crossed the finish line. She was about a foot ir so short, but she had a blast and it was a lot of fun.
