Beans are an accumulation of secretions and debris that form within a small dead-end pocket (urethral fossa) at the end of the horse p***s, the same type of pocket within a mare.

If large enough, it is possible for a bean to obstruct urination.

You may have noticed a change in your horses behaviour, sour, biting, especially bucking in trot to canter transitions.

Beans can cause horses to appear lame, by simply removing the bean the horse will feel Instant relief.
