🎥🎄🎅 Indy’s Xmas Greetings 🎅🎄🎥
(Watch Vid In Full=🧍♂️+🐴 Sully Message)
Thank you all for your support in 2024! As we approach the end of the season with just a few runners left, we’re hoping to jag one more victory before heading into 2025. The show must continue!
A big thank you to the team for treating today like any other day. The horses need their feeding and exercise, and it’s great to see such commitment and enthusiasm in the stable. We have runners ready to go as soon as tomorrow, and everything is in order. This year had its challenges, but we still trained plenty of winners despite some setbacks from viruses. The horses always come first, and they are coming back stronger. We are preparing for 2025 with a strong team of 21 horses in training and another 15 in pre-training or resting. With a good record from this year’s yearlings and ensuring they develop well, we plan to be very active at the sales next year, and I hope to have your continued support in this effort.
Have a safe holiday and I wish you and your family the very best this period with many a winner in the new year.
Indy,
Watch: “Need For Spieth” Performs a final piece of work with nominations currently out for Friday Nights Magic Millions $250,000 Debut 2yr Old Race.
Currently sitting in 15th Ballot after a positive trial, he’ll be sweating on a run come acceptances with 8 of the top 15 also dual nominated for the B.J. MCLACHLAN and Randwick 2yr Old Hcp.
Regardless a great effort from all round to get our first pre Christmas 2yr old in contention, after being purchased out of the last sale of the year for a mere $9,000. He was sold quickly to a great/ large group of connections and I wish them all the best; Going forward he’ll be a very nice 3 year old for the team.
Watch: 6 Horses made an appearance at the local trials this morning as the majority of the stable nears a return to the races. A further 12-14 horses are due to step out at the following set of trials and we were pleased to see some progress this morning. Headlined by “Vos Savant” a stable newcomer. A 4yr Old Denman Mare Previously trained in Sydney; A late 2yr old winner and then an encouraging 4th at Randwick behind Group 3 Winner “Caballus” and subsequent Group 2 Winner “Estriella”. Her 3yr old year cut short with a bleeding embargo and plenty of trips to the trials in between. She was selected and well purchased at $6000 and this mornings soft trial was a good indicator that she’s right on track; not all that comfortable on the wet surface but class prevailed with some strong proven Metropolitan horses working home similarly.
🐎 Metro Stayer 🐎 + A Syd Provincial Winner 3 Starts Ago, Rejoins QLD Stable
🔥Trialled well over an unsuitable short-couse distance last month after a good spell and has been freshened and arrived in Queensland in good order yesterday.
🏆Low Budget Buying, Won’t Last Long
Majority sold to some great clients already.

You won’t get a much more honest review than the comments straight from the mouth of the cameraman this Am !
$12k in total the below 2 horses cost the stable/owners. One of them a winner at metropolitan level in its first campaign with the stable and netted the owners $50k in the first prep. The other horse a $6000 purchase with a strong 4th at Randwick behind $1million dollar earner “Estriella” whom this year alone has won a Group 2, Group 3, 2x Stakes Races and finished 4th beaten 0.8lengths in the Group 1 Moir behind “Mornington Glory” and Group 1 Winner “Hayasugi”.
Winner: Ready For Vegas grinds it out for a tough win on the 3 day back up aided by a gritty Jake Molloy ride. A $5,000 Mm Purchase and a winner at start #6 He also continues a handy yearly tradition of a winner on cup day, with Midnight Boom saluting at the Gold Coast last year.
Congratulations Connections, a soft win like this is just the confidence boost he needs and hopefully can go on with it now. All the ability; just not real smart up top; However these trips away and race experience will only bring him on.

Tanker
Watch: 🤧 🥹 - 4 Months into retirement and “Tanker” has settled into “old-man-hood” quite well. The cruisey man has wound down and is enjoying his days with the Grason Team. He will be retrained and started eventually but there’s no rush. Horse first and foremost and that seems to be right up his alley. Thanks to Lauren and her crew; he’s a big soft spot for me and with a tough few months behind us it was really nice to open up these updates and remember on a more positive level as to why we do what we do.

Pristine Coats, Final Gallops & Happy Horses round out a very long week!
“Ready For Vegas” is back in action at Casino or Grafton in the following days.
Okay, so he's no genius, but he does possess by a long shot, the largest stride to walk through our doors to date . That being said he still hasn’t quite worked out what to do with it or where to put his legs as he continues to mature and furnish into a nicer horse.
Last campaign was a mess, far too young and dumb, he's wised up a bit since then. Not a lot, but he has. The first-up performance at Ipswich, reads poorly on paper, Don't worry, it's not as bad as it looks. No Jump Outs, No Trials, he was just getting his bearings. Look into the run and you’d see a horse off the bridle for 95% of the race, still managed consistent 10.9/11.2/11.4 sectionals and was eased late. Up in distance and given more time he’ll put it all together in a few runs and reward the owners at cricket score odds, stick with him, after a few runs he may just be all the wiser.
For now, admire the spunk that he is
Ready to Race Sales Have Arrived! 🙏
With existing orders in place for select clients, we aim to expand our stable database by acquiring one or two horses as we build our young-stock portfolio heading into the New Year.
For those unfamiliar, the R2R sales feature early 2-year-old horses educated and galloped over 200 meters, electronically timed, and presented for sale akin to Yearling Sales. This process allows buyers to participate in racing sooner, mitigating variables from sale to stable, with inspectable, vetted horses that can be seen working.
Our current purchase record stands at 1/1, with a $9,000 Sidestep filly winning on debut. We seek similar successes. Some horses may be ready for pre-Christmas 2-year-old racing, capitalizing on foundational fitness as the season intensifies. Our purchases are reasonably priced, sold at cost plus race series nominations, with a budget of $20-$30k
Previous success demonstrates $9,000 can yield returns. Interested parties, please contact me with share and budget interests.
Boom Court
Watch: “Boom Court” Enters the stable. A $18k tried purchase from earlier in the year. He had an extended spell to get over some niggles and has arrived in heavy but good order. He’s a horse with form lines around some of the best in “Yellow Brick” and is a Full Brother to QLD Sprinter “Avone” Who Most Recently won its last 2 metropolitan starts after finishing 2nd in the Gold Edition in 2023. Having only won the one race previously he’s in a fantastic position to capitalise on a low Class 1 rating to kick off proceedings strongly.
A slick effort from the trio this morning! All three are off to the races this weekend. “Ready For Vegas” is skipping trials, but a run or two, some ground and turf will work wonders. 2 Solid Jump outs and has shown enough.
“Shintaro Lass” gunning for another strong performance to keep the momentum rolling. The 2nd place getter from her last start effort has since won at Port Maquarie and we’ll place her well, as we look to solidify some consistency into her form lines.
“MygirlGladys”, our lovable weirdo, is finally back on track after two Jump Outs - she's looking sharp, but we're keeping her on a tight leash to avoid any pre-race freakouts, She’ll need the run no doubt but she is well enough and whilst sound and sane she can have a run/used as a trial. She’ll be screwed down 2nd up.
