Did you know pigs don't just oink
This is them "barking"
They do this every time I open up both sides (the boy is kept separate usually)
Piggies checking out some new bedding (lawn clippings that have been drying out for a few weeks).
It's getting cold at night so they need deeper bedding to bury themselves in it to help stay warm
Bit of fun down the beach this morning
Need a clean goat before putting the clippers to him!

Prune the pepper corn tree for Darcy the horses head height; goats eat it's leaves then it's ready to go on burn pile π
Happy composting chickens
Raked up a few wheelbarrow loads of leaf matter for them which acts as a dry base in this wet weather
They will help turn this into mulch
Sorry buddy but the sun is shining so let's go for relaxing boundary ride to stretch those legs π€£
Now that Luca is not in raging rut (which he was in when he arrived at the farm) we now know he truely is sweet; it's also nice he doesn't smell bad anymore and isn't trying to pee on everything,. including myself π
Follows us around even when out of the paddock. And grass from a human hand must be special grass as he ALWAYS takes it π€£
They all get along well enough that it's now peaceful most of the time when all together.
Luca is available to be bred to selective outside does. Please message for more information
We have geese!
Hoping these birds will;
1. Help protect our chickens from predators
2. Alarm us when a car comes down the driveway
3. They are male a female so some goslings would be cute!
A buck in rut π€’
After wondering how to train him that, NO, Humans are NOT the same (he was raised without goats so although he has bred with the 2 girls he still thinks all humans are an option)
Well, water is like acid to Goats!
Day one of using a spray bottle to get him to back off And it works! π
