These cute little Pomeagles will be looking for their new families after Christmas. They will be 6 weeks old on 26th December so ready to go soon after that.
The pomeagle breed dates back to Victorian times when they were cross bred to remove the health issues of both breeds, allowing them to be a smaller hunting dog with less health concerns.
They are actually a great pup to have as a family dog as they are energetic enough to keep with with playful kids however also happy inside cuddled on a lap. They are fiercely loyal and protective of their environment and loved ones.

Who loves the colour Lilac? This is not your everyday colour in the Border Collie. Lilac and White male is just beautiful and is yet to find his perfect human. The Lilac Merle female will be retained at Truckaluck kennels.
Astro is a Slate Merle and he headed off today to his new home with Jessica on the Gold Coast.

Another happy ending BUT this dog could have received the urgent medical care he needed and been home much earlier if his MICROCHIP DETAILS WERE UP TO DATE.

❤️‍🩹🦴❤️‍🩹~ A CASE STUDY: Gohku went missing from Chester Hill (Sydney) on 10/06/22. His owners posted his missing alerts on many community pages and also paid other pet finding services to assist to find their missing dog. 11 days later (i.e on the evening of the 21/06/22) this dog was found approximately 40kms from home by a kind member of the community who immediately posted this “found” dog on local community pages and also called vets etc, but unfortunately the owners didn’t come forward/didn’t see their posts. The next day (22/06/22) Arthur & Co were contacted by the finder and asked assist to find this found dog’s family as he was in a bad way and needed urgent vet care. His microchip was not up to date with current details. Arthur & Co swung into action, and, less than 1 hour after we had posted this found dog to our page, his owners contacted us saying “OMG that’s our dog… we’ve been searching for him everywhere!” We did our intensive due diligence to ensure they were genuinely this dog’s owners before releasing any information on this dog’s whereabouts. The wonderful news is that Gohku is home safe having received his urgent vet care and his owners are very grateful for the assistance of the finder, us, and the community who helped get him home safe. Speedy recovery, Gohku and thank you to our wonderful community of followers, carers and sharers who are a part of each and every reunion xx

Yet another wonderful long time missing cat story to share with everyone.

Puddin had been missing since late January last year. Her post on our pages was reshared several times and sadly in September after 7 months, her owner accepted she was gone for good. After almost 16 months, she was reunited back with her family due to her microchip.

From her owner: "I put up a lost post last year in January regarding my cat that went missing in kallangur. I'm just wanting to update that she has been today in glass house mountains and we are picking her up now. Someone took her to the vet and they scanned the chip!! No idea how she ended up there.. she's old .."

What a wonderful call for this family to receive. All of us at QLPR wish Puddin and her family all the best and enjoy the rest of her life safely at home.

It's NOT finders keepers 🐾🐾

👏IT👏IS👏NOT👏FINDER’S👏KEEPERS👏!!! If you find a lost pet you MUST, by law, take it to a vet, pound or council ranger. You cannot re home it, you can’t give it away to your girlfriend or family, you can’t use it for breeding, you can’t keep it for your kids, you can’t decide that the pet is neglected or not groomed properly so you’ll take matters into your own hands, police can’t give pets to you to keep, pounds can’t funnel it off to a rescue (until the pet has served its MANDATORY impound time), you can’t sell it or advertise it on gumtree, you can’t decide to “keep it safe” at home with you until the owner finds you, you can’t ship it interstate in the hope it will never be found. Period. No exceptions. If you find a lost, stolen, missing pet you must… MUST hand it in or take it for a microchip scan ASAP and IF the vet or pound you take it to will not chip scan or can’t find a chip that is NOT your licence to keep the pet or do any of the above. You must make EVERY reasonable attempt to find the pet’s LEGAL owner! I live in hope that one day there won’t be a need for my service but things are getting worse, not better and it’s time we spread the word far and wide on what you MUST do if you find a lost, missing or end up with a stolen/suspected stolen pet! Australia has MANY microchip databases and none of them talk to each other. Lost and stolen pets are falling through the gaps in this fragmented and fractured system and something must be done about it… STAT!

This post shows how important it is to ensure microchip details are changed to the new owner. This 13 year old little one is in the pound and can't be released to the 'owner' because the chip is not in her name.
Post below says he is not chipped, but apparently he is but not in current owners name.

Top tips for keeping your pets safe 💟
1. Supervision is important to help prevent your pet from escaping. If you aren't able to supervise, consider making arrangements with someone who can.
2. Create a safe place inside and distract them with music or TV to mask the noise.
3. Remain calm, perform normal activities and avoid fussing over your pet as this can encourage anxious behaviour.
