Today, we're continuing our training sessions with Georgie, focusing on important commands like recall and wait. Consistent practice in varied environments helps reinforce her skills amidst distractions. So far, she has excelled at sit and wait—for both close distance and further away—using a long line lead for safety while we train in off-lead friendly areas. Remember, repetition is key to success! The more we work together, the better she becomes at responding to cues. Practice truly makes perfect!

Say hello to Oreo & Ruffy, new pups to our client family! 🐾
Oreo & Ruffy are both rescues who have landed on their feet with their new family..

These boys are booked in for 30 minute, goal focused walk and train sessions.

We started off our first session slowly getting Oreo comfortable around me before we can progress our training sessions. We introduced the clicker, tried some different treats and practiced establishing recall basics (responding to names).

We’re so excited to guide Oreo & Ruffy on their training journey and watch them grow into confident, well-rounded pups. Stay tuned as they tackle new training adventures and keeps us smiling with their big personalities! 🤗

Is your dog a puller on the lead? Teaching your dog to walk nicely on the lead is easier than you think, and it all starts before you even step outside. Start by having your dog sit and wait calmly at the door, reinforcing this with treats.

Once you're on your walk, keep your dog at your side—don't let them pull ahead. If they do, gently call them back using their name and offer treats as a reward. Consistency is key, so repeat this process as needed. Over time, your dog will learn to stay by your side with less reminding.

Using high-value treats like Prime 100 roll, cooked chicken breast, or cheese (in moderation) can make a big difference in motivating your dog.
