Because we had so much fun doing it last year, and I will be back in March with another Combined Training clinic!
All horse and riders welcome! Even if you’re a new combo, not been out much or a bit nervous - come and have a go in a supportive and encouraging setting.
Cross training is so beneficial for every horse, so this time (for the dressage divas) we will be offering a ground pole/very small x rail class
Small groups (no more than 4 riders), 1 hr flat lesson and 1 hr jump lesson. At Nearside Equine, Majura (near the airport)

As we wave goodbye to an awesome year at Near Side Equine, Darcy and I wanted to shout out some of the fantastic local businesses we’ve had the opportunity to work with over the past year.

Massive gratitude to (and in no particular order):

1. Bec Walshe at Canberra Equine Hospital – keeping all of our ponies in tip-top shape whether it’s routine dental maintenance, or taking my panicked calls about weird swellings and broken splint bones; Bec has it all covered!

2. Simon Heritage of High Voltage Grounds and Home Maintenance Services – Simon did w**d spraying for us this year, and really went above and beyond with the level of service and advice on this big job! So appreciated!

3. Coaches Caitlin Brewer and Emily Breeze Equestrian for hosting their fantastic combined clinics, as well as grid nights and pole work sessions! I’ve seen so many riders come so far under their instruction!

4. Stephen Dingwall Cavalier Performance Horses for testing the waters with my baby horse and ensuring that she stays a total sweetheart. I recommend Stephen to everyone who will listen to me!

5. Cammy Gray Farriery – thank you for always fitting our herd into your schedule! And special thanks for your patience with my unhandled mini and shetty!

6. R&J Equestrian Supplies – got the jumps paddock kitted out with an absolutely beautiful course. These guys take the most care and pride with their work and it outshines anything else I’ve seen!

7. Murray River Productions and LHDEquestrian – We have absolutely loved your photos and videos, not just for us but for the wider equestrian community!

8. Last but certainly not least, our wonderful helpers on-property; Lucy and Laura for the help with feeding – and especially the longsuffering Ray - your unquantifiable help in all aspects is more than vital and we truly couldn’t have come so far so quickly without you!

It’s been a privilege to meet and work with so many people who are experts in their field!

And to our amazing clients – you're the real MVPs! Thanks a million for trusting us with your equine pals. It's been wonderful having each and every one of you.
As we roll into the next year, we're excited about more good times and collaborations. Near Side Equine is all about community, and you're a vital part of that. Here's to more adventures together in 2024!
