Time to demonstrate their news skills
We had our final graduation of term 4 - Horse Whispering Youth Program this Tuesday. It’s a time for family and friends to watch the youth display their new skills and confidence.
Our circle of support. Where we check in with each student and gauge their energy before they go into the horse arena. We practice deep breathing to help produce calm energy and grounding so anything that is bothering the student can be given to the grass under their feet. Effectively any baggage that is burdening the student can be left behind so they are not weighed down during their session with the horses.
New improved setup
We’ve added this beautiful solid wood side board to our equine arena shelter. We provide hot and cold drinks and snacks at our equine and retreat experiences. #Deepersoulconnections

Play based learning
When training youngsters I like to incorporate play based learning for engagement and fun interactions. I don’t believe we should drill our horses as this makes them bored and sour. Think about it- can you learn much when you are bored? Play with your horse and make each encounter enjoyable for both of you.
