Did you know?

Cats can’t taste sweetness — they lack the specific taste receptors for it. Unlike humans and many other animals, their taste buds don’t respond to sugary flavors.

This is because cats are obligate carnivores, meaning their diet is entirely based on meat. Evolution simply didn’t give them a reason to crave sweet things.

So while you might enjoy dessert, your cat genuinely has no idea what the fuss is about, though they might want a lick of that dairy!

Domestic cats can produce over 100 different vocalisations! These sounds include meows, purrs, trills, chirps, growls, and chatters, each used to express different emotions or needs.
